Dr. Tatyana P Barsouk

I saw Dr. Barsouk for migraines and vertigo. We had a quick appt. and she literally told me to wait out the vertigo. (New neuro took his time and ordered more testing). Also the meds she wanted me on wasn’t appropriate for my health issues. The worst was I called back three times and asked for another doctor in the practice as what to do with my vertigo because it’s ruining my life. 9 months later and despite leaving polite messages, still no attempt to call me back. Who doesn’t return calls? I made the appointment for vertigo. Never mentioning my migraines.

She's been my neurologist for several years, and is just great! she listens very well, does not rush you, goes out of her way to stay in touch with you, and is an excellent doctor! I wanted a specialist for my restless legs, and she's been a great help for this awful condition. She's very knowledgeable,

I needed to see a neurologist about several issues going on. Dr Barsouk was very thorough and professional. She took time to listen to my issues and answered all my questions. Dr Barsouk asked about other health issues as well. She really cared about my overall health. She didn’t order extensive tests and will coordinate with my other doctors treating my condition. Very satisfied.

Does talk in detail about what your symptoms are and what they could mean because she wants you to have a thorough understanding of your issues. That is not a bad thing. This was first visit so I cannot yet speak to accurate diagnosis or follow up

Tells you how much she knows even if it does not apply to your symtoms. When she is challenged with a diagnosis she tells you to go see a head shrink! She missed my orthostatic tremor -- was diagnosed by a doctor who listened and then researched my symtoms and called me one week later with a diagnosis. Barsouk is too full of herself to take the patient into consideration. She is the one who needs to go back to school or get her own head shrink.

I am a 65 year old that has been 100% disabled for the past 19 years. In that time I have seen many specialists. She is a wonderful, caring doctor with a "Bedside Manner" I have never had the pleasure to experience before. You never feel rushed. She explains in detail, everything about your condition and treatment. If you have a "dumb" question, ask, and she will answer without making you feel stupid. She is not one of those doctors that give the allotted time allowed healthcare insurance providers. I may wait up to an hour past my appointment time, but I know it is because she was giving the patient before me, the same wonderful treatment she gives me.
