I am so grateful for Dr Homan, she truly is the most humble and compassionate Dr in her field! It was sad to see her go, I miss her so much! She knows how to help her patience. If she didn’t retire she would be my Dr!! She’s my Favorite!! Annie Amabile

Dr. Homan performed a myomectomy on me more than a decade ago: This was to remove fibroid tumors but preserve the uterus. I was developing pneumonia in the hospital and she never visited for post-op check in 4 days; several years later I had a hysterectomy at Boston's Brigham hospital and they said the person who performed the surgery was incompetent and had created scar tissue up and down my insides. They had never seen a worse job. The busy Boston doctor visited me every day and talked with the nurse twice a day. She and her co-surgeons were shocked at the damage Dr. Homan had inflicted. Dr. Homan lacked the surgical skill to perform the surgery she proposed and lacked the motivation to even follow up with her patient in the hospital which is a good sign of a mediocre physician.

It's a shame that Dr. Homan "retired". That practice lost one of it's best dr.'s in my opinion. Dr. Homan was probably the kindest, most thorough Dr. I have ever seen. She took the time to discuss my issues, my diagnosis, referred me to specialists and let me have a hand in the decisions regarding my condition. It's a shame that Fox Valley Women and Children's Health continues to "lose" it's best doctors.
