Dr. Teresa Jean Pianta, MD

Teresa Pianta, M.D. received an undergraduate Degree in Molecular biology from Princeton University. She attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she graduated with a Distinction in Research in the area of cartilage biology. She completed her post graduate residency training in Orthopaedic surgery at the University of Connecticut. An additional twelve months was spent in a sub specialized fellowship training program at the Philadelphia Hand Center where she studied hand surgery affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and many surrounding area surgery centers. She has experience in all areas of hand and wrist surgery along with the treatment of the non-invasive, non-surgical procedure for Dupuytrenâ„¢s Disease.

She has publications in Orthopaedics. She is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Association for Hand Surgery, New England Hand Society and Connecticut …Orthopaedic Society.
