Was not upfront with me. Procedures ordered were posed as just precautionary to rule out some possibilities that were not likely and they ended up costing me tons of money - Dr. Alkana gave no warning or indication of the typical costs of these procedures. I was just told that they were sending me to a place that accepted my insurance. I looked up estimated costs of the procedures through my health insurance and the place that Dr. Alkana referred me to charged double that price after my insurance network adjustment. Something's wrong here.

This review is of a visit last year. I remember distinctly how much I liked this doctor and the office. I must go again tomorrow, so I will provide another review then. I had nothing but praise for my experience last year!

We were unable to get in to see the doctor for which we had an authorization, but the staff offered an appt. with Dr.Alkana. He saw my son first and then invited me in to discuss the diagnosis. It turned out to be a rather serious infection and he took his time to explain it to us, how to treat it, what the effects of the medication would be, etc. In these days of rush appointments, I was really surprised and happy to find a doctor who would spend so much time making sure we understood what we needed to do to resolve the situation. Kind, caring, nice.
