Dr. Terry Yunho Kwak, MD

He has been an excellent ophthalmologist to me. He is thorough. professional, and is willing to answer all my questions. He is great, knows his stuff (I should know because I am a primary care physician) and is very competent.

After waiting almost a month to see this guy, was not impressed with him, made a nasty comment about my retinal surgeon, felt very rushed. Then when I tried to explain to the nursing coordinator at the surgery center about my bad experience with neuroleptic anasthesia, they canceled my surgery, and Dr.Kwaw left a message on my answering machine. Never spoke with me directly. I'm done with this practice, I'd been seeing Dr Allen for years, but I'm done.

Had cataract surgery with Dr Kwak. Excellent bedside manner and skills. Would definitely recommend cataract surgery with Dr Kwak.

A young patient was told that she has macular degeneration and was referred to Dr. Kwak. She has no insurance so he told her, yes you have macular degeneration, come back when you get an insurance.....

I have been with this doctor since 2009 and have finally had enough. He has no respect for your time - - NONE. You will not be seen in a timely manner, after being taken back by the technician you will be left for an inordinate amount of time behind a closed door with no interaction with staff and no indication of when you will be seen. A display of dissatisfaction might make your routine eye exam a 2-3 hour affair - - utterly ridiculous. I love to have continuity of care, especially when I have unique issues, but I have had enough. I tried another physician in the practice last week, only to arrive and be told that she didn't have a baby sitter, but I was free to wait for an hour and a half if I wanted to see her. I understand that things can happen, but it shouldn't be the case for EVERY SINGLE VISIT. Done!
