Dr. Theodore J Hovick, MD

Dr. Hovick was the on call doctor for my 2nd born and completely disregarded anything I told him or asked him not to do. with my first I had an easy birth and the after birth was virtually painless, with Hovick in 2017 he had ripped my placenta out when I told him to stop and have had internal pains since . today at my appoint he felt the need to address the amount of children I have (2) and asked if my life wasnt crazy enough already. I feel it was way out of line and he thinks his degree makes him kknow all more than I know my own body feels and my own situation. he just tries to tell you in a horrible tone what you have to do rather than explaining what has to happen. this is NOT how a medical professional should act.

Nice and I'm sure knowledgable, however my husband and I were both struck by the speed at which he mumble speaks and the feeling that he had somewhere more important to be like a lunch date or a golf game. Did ask us if we had any questions but dismissed most of them quickly and without much explanation. Although I'm sure he may be knowledgable and well qualified, We will not choose to see him again.

If you are a young female going for the first time, DO NOT set up an appointment with this doctor. He is arrogant, condescending, and not at all sympathetic. At 19 I was very nervous to go in for my first exam and Hovick did nothing to calm me or explain what was happening. I was literally told to pull myself together so he could get on with the examination. While he may know his stuff his bedside manner is anything but gentle and comforting, an important quality needed when dealing with nervous first-time females.

Dr. Hovick was very patient and kind. His nurse was wonderful. I'm glad I chose him for my gyn!

Talks down to patients. Does not follow up. Always seems to be in a hurry to get to the next patient. Does not seem to care about patients, you are just a number.
