Dr. Thomas Russell Dietze, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Dietze for some time. He performed Lasix surgery on me many years ago and I have no regrets. I discontinued his services when he became very inconsistent with the DX for my eyes. He said they were abnormally dry and prescribed drops, which were very expensive. My eyes do have some dryness but over the counter drops work just as well. He wanted to perform cataract surgery on one eye and said the other had to be done "because that would be just weird" at one point. When asked for time to think about it a follow-up appointment was made and when I went, it was not even mentioned. The whole purpose of the appointment was to reevaluate the need for surgery. The DX and the treatment changed every time I saw him, which was every 6 months. As I look back I feel that he was just "milking" my insurance company. I am usually very trusting of medical doctors, but this experience has proven to me that the patient should be informed about their condition and needs.

I have been seeing Dr. Dietz for several years now and I have never had an issue with him or his staff. They are always courteous and available to answer any questions. He did my lasik surgery and I would recommend him to anyone. His follow-up visits were very thorough.

I did not see this particular doc but a new one not listed on many websites. I would've walked out when seeing the many patients waiting but husband took precious time off work to drive me with dilated eyes. Poor cust service, no onsite restroom for patients so you use the mall's filthy ones, no provision of disposable sunglasses when you leave, only one doc on the job with patients being shuffled from one waiting room to another to exam room. Never again!
