I realize no back surgery is guaranteed and I would say okay. But no surgery should cause you additional problems. Ask for a second opinion. Post-op lumbar fusion

Dr. Dunn has been nothing but amazing, yes, the reviews are correct and there is a long wait time to see him, you will check in at your regular time time but you will most likely not see the doctor till an hour later, both his assistants were amazing, they greeted me got everything ready and the doctor came, gave me my options was very understanding, and after 2 months since that first visit i had my back surgery with him. his bedside manner is spectacular, he had the whole team that was gonna do my surgery come and meet me while i was getting ready, explained what he would do, had me meet each individual (the surgery room had about 8 people working on me) and off i went, i woke up and when i got up to go home i could walk again, the scar is in a place thatws barely noticeable and he did a really good job at putting it together very nicely. after i woke up he came to check on me before i left, and i will be seeing him in a week to take the staples out, thankyou dr. dunn for giving me… my life back, im looking forward to getting back to my following my dreams

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Thomas Dunn and his certified Physician Assistant, Richard Mateyka, PA-C. I recently had Lumbar surgery performed by Dr. Dunn and it could not have been a better experience, from start to finish, considering I needed surgery to correct a herniated disc. If you are in need of back or neck surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Dunn and his entire staff. You'll be in the very best of hands.

His office staff lacks customer service

Extended wait time, well over an hour past my scheduled appointment. Had 3 different visits and never saw the doctor himself, never even met him. Only saw his assistant, Rich and the nurse, Trish. Rich and Trish are very rude and unprofessional-Trish is down right hostile & angry. Is so rude and aggressive that she actually comes across as if she is yelling at you. Horrible experience! Rich and Trish get highly offended if you ask questions. Before I let anyone perform any surgery on my spine I will, naturally, ask about risks and recovery time etc. I paid a high price to see a specialist only to see an assistant who was grossly less knowledgeable and gave me a diagnosis that was in his words "a best guess". Seriously? A "best guess" is your diagnosis and you want cut into my spine based on your best guess. The office is ran in an assembly line manner. You are herded through like cattle. I left furious and will never go there again for any reason. Worst experience of my life. I would… NOT recommend this place to anyone ever.

I specifically set up an appointment to see dr dunn. However, when I got there, I had about one hour wait to get into the PA. Then, Dr Dunn's assistant came in and made his diagnosis but I never saw Dr. Dunn.

I went to Dr. Dunn for continuing treatment for failed back syndrome. He was rude and hostile from the moment he came into the run. Said "I don't why you came to me. I don't rehab, or write prescriptions, or do ongoing care". I'm not the one that picked him, workers comp did. After my appointment I got a copy of his report and he claimed he made a physical exam and everything was normal. He did not do any physical exam at all. NOTHING! He and his staff are rude, hostile, and unprofessional. And he is a liar!

I had seen Dr. Dunn a few times regarding my neck issues. He talked to me and gave me choices, I loved the fact he is not a cut happy doctor. During a three year period two visits he sent me on my way without surgery. When things got really bad, I went back. Dr. Dunn said I needed surgery and it was urgent. I was to see him on a Friday and I has surgery on Tuesday. He told my husband I would be in and out in 45 minutes, and I was. It went without hitch! I love this Doctor.
