Thomas Lanier Jones

My Mom had a massive stroke in 2001 which left her left side partially paralyzed, shortly afterwards she started seeing Dr Jones. He told my Mom Yrs ago that he was going to schedule her a bone density test. That never happened she has been with this doctor since forever. Mom is now 79 yrs old and a very savvy business woman. She went to see Dr Jones earlier this 2019 Spring, she was concerned about being dizzy, she had lab work (by the way- what kind of Physician doesn't tell you to fast after midnight when scheduled for blood work) smh!!!! 3 months later, she went back because she was loosing weight and stayed thirsty during nighttime, and dizzy. She was told you need to be on Insulin, the nurse told her “give me your arm and had a needle in her hand ready to inject this insulin. My Mom has NEVER remotely been told that she could even be a candidate for diabetes- and now this rude Nurse gets ready to insert this med into her without explaining, or being sensitive to a Woman… who happens to be petrified of needles, whats going on with her in a nice tone!!! It was happening so fast that my Mom was horrified & in tears. Needless to say- this unexpected ordeal was horrendous to say the least... no one told her to fast b4 bloodwork. Dr Jones is not consistent with his word & his nurse was out of line and downright insensitive & rude. I would never recommend anyone I know to attend His facility. People are people!!! Patients are people’s Moms, Sisters, Dads, Brothers, Pastors, Friends, wives and Husbands. It would do Dr Jones and his Staff good to remember & start training. Clearly more training should be a HIGH PRIORITY. ASAP!

Dr. Jones seems to know his medicine, but he doesn't have the most caring attitude, and he doesn't try to hide it either. I feel like I'm just another in a string of people he's obligated to see. I have never gotten a follow up call about any of my problems and I have several. I'm thinking about switching to another GP.
