Dr. Thomas Henry Kanegae, MD

Something was wrong--I could not go up stairs or walk far without feeling dizzy or getting out of breath. Dr. Kanagae ruled out one thing after another until he got to the root of my problem: an aneurysm. That was 2013. Incredible physician who treats you like his family. No rushed diagnosis or consultation.

My dad was a patient of Dr. Kanegae for decades. In 1990, Dr. Kanegae performed a triple bypass on my dad, who just passed away almost 30 years later (in 2018) ~ twice the average post-surgery lifespan. For all the decades that he was Dr. Kanegae's patient, my dad received superb care.

Office + doctor when shopping. Dont make appt on this day even tho hours for friday posted as 9-3. But not today

For taking good care of our Dad, when he was sick, being in and out of the hospital, getting treatments, dialysis & having him go to a rehab facility. During the final days of Dad being in the hospital, Dr. Kanegae made sure Dad was well taking care of, taking the time to go out of his way to making sure Dad was comfortable, the constant phone calls to make sure he was ok, even when he was not on duty he came to visit Dad to check on him, and he was always by his side. We appreciate you very much & Thank you for coming to say your last goodbyes to Dad. We ask that you take care of Mom now and give her the same care that you have given Dad! Very poor communication, unprofessional at times. Office staff is not very friendly. Poor record keeping of patient information in charts. Though his is a very sharp Dr. there is room for improvement as a patient under his care.

Takes the time to listen to your symptoms, orders the appropriate tests, thoroughly explains in details the results and what can be done to address the problem that you are having, including life style changes, prescriptions, etc. Office staff is very experienced and helpful. Well worth the wait.

He is very unprofessional and uncaring to patient's need. He does not communicate well at all!

Dr. Kanagae inspires confidence. He takes time to explain diagnosis, procedures and treatment options. He has an excellent and professional manner.
