Operation to relieve pain from spinal stenosis. No pain for over 5 yrs.after operation

The nastiest doctor I have ever met. Condescending and rude. I was a college athlete and he asked me if I was 'faking my pain' to get out of having to go to school. Faking my herniated disc, osteoporosis, and severe scoliosis? Who tries to get out of college?? I did his "intense" workout routine, which was a joke. I workout harder on my own, with all my injuries, any day. I did everything he said Workout, PT, steroid injections- I drew the line when they were trying to dose me up with pain meds. I've witnessed patients coming out of his office crying. He has an obsession with people's weight, I have overheard him calling patients fat. Maybe he should have been a plastic surgeon because he seems very concerned with shallow ideas of body weight. He thinks he's God. But I think its really more like the devil.

Went to Dr. Kleeman for second opinion re: need for a second, more evasive fusion back surgery. He was very educational and matter-of-fact about my condition - physically and strength-wise. He easily convinced me that working with his team "to get stronger" via PT was a more appropriate choice than rushing into a second surgery. I believe he said something like: "...once you play the surgery card, you can't take it back". So true...and this surgery was scaring me...it just didn't feel right. Nevertheless, I've been working with PT Specialist, Matt Harrison, for a few months now and I'm stronger and pain/numbness has moved from a 10 to a 3. With a recent visit to Dr. Frates and a cortisone shot, I am now able to work smarter and harder during PT and feel as though there is light (not surgery) at the end of the tunnel! Exceptional experience thus far.

Rudest doctor I have ever encountered! Definitely has a God complex. Was more concerned that I needed to exercise ( even though I am a healthy 50 year old non smoker/ non drinker/ low BP, size 6, woman) than the fact that I was in PAIN!! When I actually asked what I could do to alleviate the pain in my arm, I was told "if your biggest concern is the pain in your arm/shoulder, then you need a guide on how to age properly", which was reiterated to me several different ways during our visit. This is one doctor I will NEVER go back to! I would rather live with my pain!!!

I saw "dr" kleeman in 2011. I didnt bother writing any reviews about him since i just didnt have the effort to. Today i saw a commercial for his workout and became FURIOUS. When i saw him, he told me i was to fat ( not overweight, not obese) fat for surgery. He then went on to tell me that if i didnt get lap band, i would be dead within the year. I slipped into clinical depression after meeting with him, and am still on medication for it. I have seen numerous dr's who have all told me i am absolutely 100% not "too fat" to be operated on. kleeman wanted me to go on a exercise program with his team, and after seeing the commercial, im wondering if he just wanted to use me as a before and after case to help sell hit product.

Dr. Kleeman spent more time with me than anyone has. He clearly reviewed and considered my situation and gave me very sage advice. i wish there was an easy fix, but in the end I get that I have to work for good health and a strong back. I appreciate his matter of fact approach and know he has my best interests at heart. His encouragement means a lot to me and I know he will guide me in the right direction

I was operated on in November, 2012. I am in worse condition now than before the surgery. i asked Dr. Kleeman what was done during the operation. He told me that he told me once and i should look it up on the computer. He did not tell me, his PA did. When i asked a question of the PA, , I was told to hold all questions for the end. He was using a script and would lose his place. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. While i was in the hospital before the operation, The person in the bed next to me was having a Kleeman operation re-done by another Dr.
