Wow, after reading the reviews Mr. Manning needs to go back to the Navy. He is completely rude, unprofessional, and self-righteous. Never made eye contact or listened to my concerns before getting up and leaving the room. Spent 5 minutes in the room but was paid $1400! This is one of the prime reasons most hate Doctors! Please avoid this man. Do your research!

Dr. Manning was neurosurgeon #7 that I saw and I was told he was on top of his game. I found him to be arrogant and condescending. He barely answered my questions and immediately said I would become paralyzed without multiple fusions. I ended up so terrified of fusion afterwards that I had a laminectomy with a different surgeon. 2 years later Dr. Manning still pressured me and seemed only interested in me having surgery at Treasure Valley Hospital, which as it turns out he is part owner of. I decided to do more research and ended up being seen by two world-class specialiasts at Weill Cornell Brain and Spine. They were far more competent and caring. They are the chosen surgical group for other spine surgeons who need surgery themselves. Despite their incomparable skill level, they were far more humble. I have now had the surgeries done there (needed a cervical surgery then a lumbar surgery) and six months later I am a new person. It was night and day how I was cared for. Avoid Dr.… Manning.

I went to Dr. Manning a year ago unable to sit for any amount of time, unable to lay down and unable to walk at times. I am an avid golfer and could no longer play golf. The doctor was the first one in that was able to diagnose the actual cause of my pain, He fused 3 vertebrae's and completely fixed my back problem. He gave me my life back and I am eternally grateful. I am now playing golf at a high level (shot 69 earlier this year) and I can participate in any activity that I want to participate in. Dr. Manning performed emergency surgery on me fusing C3-C6 after a traumatic ski injury. The treatment and care I received was comforting and professional. The team kept me informed of what I was to expect throughout my recovery and were genuine in their concern for my health. Each follow up visit left me with all questions answered and the knowledge that if any other questions arose, they were a phone call away to answer them.

Dr. Manning has done a magnificent job. He is the only Dr. I would ever trust with operating on my spine. He also has the best team you could ever want. They all strive to give their best to you and to do whatever it takes to see that you are on the right path to a complete recovery.

After having a total knee replacement from another doctor I was referred to Dr. Manning after an MRI of my lower back. Apparently my slow pain recovery from the knee surgery was caused by misaligned vertebrae causing nerve impingement. I attempted spinal cortisone injections, however they were just a short term solution. I asked my spinal injection doctor who he would recommend. Without hesitation he said Dr. Manning. Dr. Manning preformed a double spinal fusion. He showed me the MRI photos and the after x-ray photos. Even my untrained eye could see the difference after surgery. I am about 4 months past surgery and am walking 3 miles a day and am going to physical therapy. The pain I was experiencing prior to surgery is all gone now. I still have issues with my knee replacement, but that is unrelated to my back surgery. I would recommend Dr. Manning. Sometimes you do have to wait a bit to see him, however he works out of multiple offices so he is easy to see without the… parking problems at St. Al’s Hospital.

I have seen Dr. Manning for multiple procedures, all of which turned out perfect. His staff is very professional and caring. He is the best in the valley! Ernest Johnson

I was very pleased with the surgery Doctor Mannning do for me. I would definitely use him again.

I had terrible pain in both legs. Dr.Manning fixed one side but not the other. When I asked him about why I still had pain in my left leg...he said "there is nothing else I can do for you", and I was dismissed. 2 yrs later Dr. Kenneth Little fixed my leg pain. Oh yeah, Dr. Manning tried to block my disability claim from going through, by telling SSI , I was not disabled
