One of the BEST Doctors ever! Very kind, considerate.

Dr Olexa is a very rude and condescending person. He will not address any concerns or questions you have. AVOID THIS PERSON.. Don't waste your time with him.

I am a 17 year old kid who has chronic pain in my left shoulder. This pain started many years ago for no known reason. The muscle is always as hard as a rock and lifted. It is quite literally insufferable and I wanted to find the cause. After months of physical therapy, my family doctor set me up for an appointment with Dr. Thomas A. Olexa. If you can even call him that. I go into this appointment, excited that I was finally getting the attention my pain deserved. I was hopeful that this new doctor would help me out. Boy was I wrong. I tell him what has been happening and that I have been through months of physical therapy and how much worse it has made my pain. He then told me that my pain was because I injured it during sports. I am in theater and I’m in band. I did NOT have an injury and I made that known. He kept telling me that I was in sports and I needed more physical therapy to heal it. He also told me that this would be a pain that I would have to endure for the rest of my… life. This upset me as a 15 year old CHILD who knew nothing about medicine so I cried. As soon as I started to cry, he left the room and sent a nurse to tell me that he scheduled me a physical therapy appointment and we left. I cried for three hours and left that room traumatized. For a few months I got extremely anxious at any appointment because of him. I got a new family doctor and she has been very helpful. She ordered me an MRI and I got that done and went to my follow up appointment with Thomas Olexa. This was terrifying. My mother who was a nurse came with me and asked him about our options. He told me that surgery was off the table and he seemed like he wanted nothing to do with me anymore and talked MORE about physical therapy. He wanted me to excercise the muscle even more after I told him it makes it worse. He proceeded to give me a muscle relaxer injection while rambling about how he never gives children the muscle relaxer and how he didnt want to do it. It helped but it wasnt even his idea, it was my mothers. Once that wore off, I got a new doctor who is helping me through it and recognizes the trauma I now have because of Thomas. He may be good at surgery, but he does not deserve to have his medical liscence. He was not a doctor to me. I was a 15 year old child who was neglected from his care. I have been in therapy for a while now and I dont want anyone to go through what I did, so I am sharing my story.

Told him repeatedly my arm did not seem to be healing correctly. He told me it was fine and sent me to physical therapy anyway and said that would work out the sore muscles. two months later the Cleveland Clinic his having to do surgery due to a displaced tendon.

Dr Olexa fixed my moms hip on a Sunday morning. She has done great since. We have been very happy with the communication in the office

My grand daughter was seen by him. Said he didn't care if she broke her foot in half he wouldn't put a cast on it just to walk it off. She is 10 yrs old. REALLY walk it off??? Worst bed side manner ever!!! The told my daughter not to believe anything the hospital tells her. I'd believe the hospital over him any day. Also if it don't need surgery he tells everyone to walk it off. pos

Dr Olexa fixed my mothers ankle after a car accident. She has recovered well and walking without problems.

My family would like to thank Dr Olexa for caring for my mother during her shoulder replacement surgery. He was very kind and helpful. Her shoulder is doing great after years of pain.
