Dr. Thomas Eric Sehlinger, MD

This dr blatantly said there was nothing wrong with my ankle other than I was fat. I ended up going somewhere else and found out I have 3 tendons worn out in my ankle causing my pain!

I saw Dr. Sehlinger today 2-6-19. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as was Dr.Sehlinger. I was x-rayed and treated and sent on my way. I will see this doctor again if needed.

His answer for my son was more time in a boot for his foot injury. Had him in a boot for almost 2 months and never gave an answer as to what the problem was. No MRI taken. Wish we would have switched weeks ago.

I had a total knee replacement performed on 8.30.18 by Dr Sehlinger and I couldn't be more pleased. This surgery was performed as an outpatient. I have experienced ZERO pain and am well on the mend. Thank you Dr. Sehlinger and Clark Memorial hospital surgery staff!! T. Northern

This was my first and last time to see this orthopedic surgeon. I guess I should have read the reviews first because overall his scores were pretty bad. Rude and arrogant! I don't think he even spent 90 seconds in the room. He was backing out the door pretty much the whole time. That's a shame too, because I've heard good things about his partner. However, in my opinion, Dr S makes the whole practice look bad.

Two experiences with this guy. Once when I had a car accident-he said my shoulder pain was nothing and there's no way it would hurt 10 years down the line. Acted like I was full of garbage. It's been 5 years now and my shoulder is a wreck. Second, he saw my mother in the ER. Said there's nothing he can do even though she's screaming in pain. Hospital sent us home based on his "what do you want me to do about it?" attitude. The guy is a jerk.

By all accounts he is a brilliant surgeon. Furthermore, when one of his interns let me leave the ER with a shattered femur, he called me personally the next morning an instructed me to get to the hospital immediately so he could put a plate and 5 screws in my leg as his first patient of the day (after a night of prep). But I only ever saw him twice--both times for literally less than 5 minutes. He was as good as his word, but pretty disturbingly absent during a process that was super scary. Afterwards, dealing with paying for something he'd insisted was an emergency was a nightmare. As for rehab, after paying hundreds of dollars per visit to only ever see a nurse practitioner (at best). I was given the "all clear" and put back on my own while still desperately needing a cane and owing the hospital $15,000 total for something I was told was my only option. After months of filling out dozens and dozens of forms, the last 7G's were waived, but I was 30 years old then, and an… athlete; I'm 34 now and I still can't run. Make no mistake, I think he did his job very well--he performed a very difficult surgery at a moment's notice; it was the months of 'rehab' and billing that were shockingly inept. Many, many people say he's the best in town, and he very well may be, but be prepared to look after rehab on your own.

I have a fracture. I was told my injuries aren't considered that painful. I was seen for only a couple of minutes, and never was given an opportunity to speak before he walked out. If this man doesn't have time to have bed side manner and build trust with his patients, he needs to get a job where he doesn't have to talk to people. If I do have to have surgery, this man will not touch me.

This doctor had know concern for my health care. He treated me as if I was pill shopping. I can buy pain pills off the street and save the expense and time of visiting the doctor. Another patient was leaving and told me he had to get his pain pill prescription updated. Little did the doctor know this man sells his pain pills on the street. I have know him for many years. The doctor had know concern for my shoulder pain from a fall 25 years ago. He told me I need to exercise and come back in 8 weeks. I guess he did not hear me tell him I fell 25 years ago and hurt my shoulder. Exercise is not what I need. I get plenty daily and use my arm and shoulder daily.
