Dr. Timothy A Holt, MD

Did surgery on my mom despite my warning. She has regretted it ever since. Botched job left her worse than before. He did not tell her what he was going to do until after she woke up. Too late then. She has suffered chronic pain ever since. Quality of life is in the toilet having to live in pain the rest of your life. Would not recommend this doctor to work on my dog.

Can't say enough about Dr Holt's skills. My neck was injured in a car accident. After going to several doctors who couldn't pin down what was wrong and undergoing two lengthy attempts at weeks of physical therapy, I found Dr Holt. Although I wasn't happy about needing surgery I decided to go for it. Now, four months later, I'm glad I did. I would recommend Dr Holt to anyone needing spine surgery.

First off if you are rating this doctor anything less than 5 stars, your nuts and probably just looking to get your fix on pain meds. I've had agonizing lower back pain for a little over a year that onset literally overnight. My herniated disk ruptured to the point of complete collapse. Doctor Holt performed an ALIF, disk decompression and followed up with rods and screws in the rear. I woke up in recovery with 0 back pain and still have 0 back pain to this day. Sorry if some of you guys can't handle a man who calls it like it is. Some of you go to a surgeon thinking they are an instant fix, they are not, they are the last option for your recovery if therapy, pain management and other areas have failed. I refused pain management because I see what it does to people and it's terrible. When Dr. Holt told me he wanted to operate I didn't hesitate a bit and if I had to do it all over again he's the only man I would let operate on me. He is a wonderful man who takes the time to answer any… and all question, the staff is wonderful and I can't say enough good things about them. By the way all you pill heads who keep giving this man bad reviews, check the law. Your beloved congress put limits on what Doctors are able to do outside of an actual pain management doctor. Other doctors have very little power to prescribe opiates. Look it up if nothing shows on an MRI, CT scan or xray what do you want? It probably is in your head, look it up, it's actually very common, especially if you know someone who has chronic back pain. Dr. Holt You're amazing.

Dr. Holt is a straight-shooter: all you have to do is ask - he'll tell you the truth. His staff is excellent as well. Dr. Holt has performed an SI Fusion on me with a Posterior Lumbar Decompression with Fusion (L3 - S1) to follow later this week. The former was successful - no problems. Lauren, one of his office nurses, is supreme. She's my favorite, besides the lady that handles VA authorizations. Tammy and the older vet... is cool as well. Most people that complain about the office or individuals within is due to the fact that the office is NOT there to continue one's journeys on narcotics, but to return the patient to a functional life without the same. Again, do you think I would let him cut on me a second time if it were anything but exceptional care and service I received the first time? I will write another review after the lumbar surgery. They also take good care of the veteran.

When you hire a nurse, Lauren-evil, who is rude and blatantly condescending to your patients, it shines back on you, sir. I have stuck with you through all of my surgeries and have commented nicely on you and your other staff, Tammy, the older gentleman who does the xrays, and Dorothy. However, Lauren, has to go! Listen to your patients and hire someone like your last nurse, Stephanie. She was a great nurse.

I had my first appointment and it was amazing Dr.Holt took the time to answer all my questions !!! The staff was very friendly !

Dr. Holt preformed Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion surgery on me a year and a half ago. I still have extreme pain with the surgery giving me absolutely no relief. I also had a new pain in my inner thigh. I asked Dr. Holt's office several times to see my x-ray and was rushed out of the office without seeing it. I went to my regular doctor who did an x-ray to find pins in my inner thigh area (the area where I had new extreme pain). Dr. Holt never informed me of the pins and had told me the surgery had went fine. I have talked to several people who have also had operations by Dr. Holt and none of them saw improvements from the surgery, and a few of them were in more pain after the surgery. I was limited because of my insurance and desperate because of my pain, and after reading several bad reviews on Dr. Holt, I decided to let him operate. It was a horrible decision. Please beware and research and read reviews and trust your instincts. You only have one body.

I would be more apt to put a person out of their misery before referring someone to Dr. Holt! My husband had a spinal fusion (L2&L3) done in '08. He is currently 31 years old and is in constant pain. We are having to seek pain management out and a new surgeon to fix what this man did to my husband. He just likes to cut on people. The cage that he placed has moved and in now pressing into my husband's spine and the pain has started to get worse and worse. He is an arrogant person with a "god complex". Please do not use this doctor. My husband can't even enjoy doing things with our children and can't even pick our 2 year old up because of the pain. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Read about how most of his patients are sent to the ICU afterwards, leave in a huge back brace, and walker, and how many cases of MRSA occur.
