I only saw Dr. McBride for a few months when his practice was in Norton,VA. For 2 years I had been using a walker and a wheelchair to get around. My life consisted of nothing but moving from bed, to chair, to couch, back to bed. No doctors believed that someone who was under 30 years of age and wasn't a coal miner could have back problems. On my first visit McBride order a slew of MRI, CT, Xrays, etc. Come to find out I had a tiny sliver of my L5 vertebrae that had broke off and had been compressing my spinal column. For 5 years I suffered with extreme pain, and nothing helped... nothing! He had me scheduled for surgery within the following week and I was walking without assistance the next day. Dr McBride gave me my life back... and not through medication... through proper patient care. He was so compassionate and caring and was determined to find the source of my problem. He took his time with me and listened intently to everything I said. Excellent bed side… manners. I hate that he had to move from the area due to false rumors and horrific allegations. I've yet to find another doctor as nice, caring and understanding as Dr. McBride
