I had right hip surgery, he was great. 5 star from me. will be going to have left hip surgery soon. I recommend this doc 100 %.

First engagement with Dr McGlaston he encouraged me to try a non surgical procedure for my knee since I was nervous about a difficult surgery on a previously damaged knee. Worked for a while but eventually needed full knee replacement. Dr McGlaston was exceedingly patient in the follow up visit with my many detailed questions before the operation - in my experience few surgeons would have been as patient and gracious. Actual operation was textbook and very well done. He is engaged in the recovery. If you are looking for a orthopedic surgeon at the top of his game with an outstanding bedside manner, chose Dr McGlaston.

I am currently 2 1/2 weeks postop from a total hip replacement by Dr. McGlaston. I am extremely pleased with the care I have received. From the initial consultation, during which he spent plenty of time listening and answering questions, to the pre-op check where he reviewed the whole process again, to the surgery itself, which had an excellent outcome, and most recently my first post-op visit, where once again he spent plenty of time answering many questions and letting me know what to expect over the course of time with my new hip, as well as explaining future follow-up. The wait times to see him have been completely appropriate. One time he was running a little bit behind but still sat down and spent plenty of time with me. I understand that the nature of the medical business is such that doctors have situations that can put them behind schedule, But what matters most to me is the quality of care provided. I would recommend Dr McGlaston to a friend or family member.

My cousin had a knee replacement that failed. Unfortunately her surgeon transferred to another site and McGlaston started to see her. He never bothered to check her file from the prior physician that was in the same practice. He said the MRI was consistent with a failed knee replacement but that may be misleading. However I explained to him she was initially ok , and that the other surgeon told her the knee probably failed. He never attempted to get the record - approximately over the course of a year. By the time I got involved my cousin developed a form of Parkinson’s disease and it was too late to do anything .about the knee. Oh he was smiley, and would do cute things like pump fists, but he was a disservice to my cousin and contributed to her decline as it was too painful for her to ambulate. I think this guy is either lazy or lacks common sense,

Saw Dr Mc Glaston today. I did not realize I should have packed a lunch. Took 1.45 hours from the time of my appointment to see him for all of 10 minutes. And of course, they tell you that you must arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although I believe he knew what he was talking about, I did not get the feeling that he cared one bit about the degree of pain I have been experiencing. His answer, take Advil — even though I told him about the amount of Advil I have been taking to NO avail for 2 weeks. His advice, ice my knee 3 times a day and come back in 6 weeks for an injection if it still is causing pain. REALLY!!! I can barely walk. Will NOT be going back. A quack could have done the same thing.
