Dr. Timothy John Renfree, MD

I did not find Dr. Renfree professional at all. He is the only doctor I've ever seen in my life who has used profanity. I thought the first word was a slip up but then he cursed again within about 8 minutes. Something just did not seem right with him. I did some research and it turns out he was a defendant in a lawsuit in 2006. Lawsuits against physicians in Tennessee are rare because the system is bent in their favor. The fact that a trial occurred at all is substantial. Look it up and read for yourself. You deserve to know your physician seriously injured a patient. And I honestly may consider an entirely different practice all together. Any group of physicians that hires a doctor who caused this much damage to a patient have ethical question marks themselves. KOC is very reputable in this area. Bottom line, always research and if something feels off, it probably is. Oh and concerning Dr. Renfree"s hundreds upon hundreds of positive reviews...it is obvious so many of them are fake.… The language is generic and many of them are written on the same days. Reviews don't work this way. I read thousands and it's pretty easy to spot. Even the best doctors in this region don't have that many reviews as very few patients actually take time to write them.

Dr. Renfree and his staff are excellent. They take their time to explain everything and are always kind to their patients.

Can't recommend him and his team highly enough. I had a badly broken finger that required surgery. The follow up has been thorough and though he may be in a hurry sometimes, if you ask questions, he'll stop and answer them all. His nurse Sandra and PA George are thorough and great.

I'm quite happy with my appointment with Dr. Renfree. The nurses are competent and pleasant. I got my cast off, and was instructed about what comes next. Dr. Renfree showed me my xrays, and told me that all looks well.

I can’t possibly say enough great things about Dr. Renfree and the team at TOA. I recently had surgery to clean my CMC joint and have new tendons placed around my index finger connecting to my thumb on my left hand. This was a procedure I had put off for about a year, but after meeting with Dr. Renfree and his PA, George, I felt completely confident moving forward. Both the pre-op and post-op experiences were outstanding. Their professionalism, thorough explanations, and genuine care made the process so much easier. Now, five weeks post-op, I’m in therapy and already regaining strength in my left thumb and hand overall. I’m truly grateful for the excellent care I’ve received and highly recommend Dr. Renfree and TOA to anyone in need of orthopedic expertise.

You couldn’t ask for a more personal, kind, and caring physician than Dr Renfree! I never have to wait long and he always listens to my concerns.

I arrived on time and did not have to wait to be seen by the doctor. Entire staff was courteous and expedient. Doctor listened to my issues and advised me of his diagnosis. He proceeded to administer his recommendation and advised me on future possibilities. He was patient and seemed genuinely concerned. I was completely satisfied with my visit and heartedly recommend.this group.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Dr Renfree is a great surgeon as well as a good doctor. I had a shot in my thumb and lady that did it was very thoughtful about pain and there was little to no pain!

Dr. Refree is a wonderful surgeon!! My hands are doing so much better!! Everyone that was a part of my surgery from the preoperative to postoperative were very kind and respectful!! If you need Carpal Tunnel surgery I would highly recommend Dr. Renfree and his surgery team!!
