Tim Tollestrup, MD Won’t accept any kind of insurance as he thinks he is worth more than the allowable rates that most insurance companies reimburse! He thinks his services are worth $500 for an initial consultation! He in effect forces you to pay in cash the fee and then get reimbursed less or not at all from your carrier! 99205 is the CPt code and is less than the fee he demands! Tried to talk to office manager and they twist this as it’s the Fault of the medical rates that most doctors follow and is allowable! He has monopoly and is not following normal medical guidelines!

He’s a monster. He lied to me, ruined me permanently, and lied some more. Stay away!!!

He made me worse, much much worse. Don’t be fooled. He sold me a pipe dream. Waited for me to be about to be wheeled in to the OR to finally say the pain may come back. I should have gotten off the table and run! But it didn’t come back because he MADE ME WORSE IMMEDIATELY. After the surgery I brought my concerns to him on how I was worse and he had every excuse in the book, then started blaming other doctors, then tried to get me to have more surgeries by other doctors, probably hoping that would shift the blame off him. Other doctors have politely told me what he did is irreversible and there’s no hope now for improvement. Stay away!

Unnecessary Piriformis Removal Surgery.

Dr Tollestrup misdiagnosed me. He performed surgery that was totally unnecessary. Now I am left totally bedridden. Spinal cord stimulator to mask the nerve damage he caused me is my only option now

His surgery changed my life forever for the worse, I can never be the same again. All the procedures he does are irreversible. The pain he created from nerve damage has left me relying on pain medication for the rest of my life.

When I went for my evaluation with Dr. Tollestrup I couldn't walk. I had not walked for 26 years due to pain in my leg that had been labeled CRPS, a devastating neurological condition. He disconnected the nerve in my leg that was causing the pain. I walked the next day for the first time in a quarter of a century. Dr. Tollestrup did probably the most comprehensive exam on me that I have ever had done and specially since all the new restrictions upon paying these days. He confirmed the piriformis syndrome diagnosis I had from MRN and injections and also found some other nerve problems. I had my piriformis removed and no longer have the constant spasms and pain in the middle of my buttock. After 3 months of healing and me noticing the other problems (worst pain is usually the most you feel at one time). He is working with me to get injections to confirm his diagnosis of the other issues. He is very kind and has the best bedside manner and really works hard to make your trip to see him the most productive for you, not him! I will be going back to see him for the other issues and would highly recommend him to others.!

My miracle was God leading me to Dr. Tim Tollestrup! I suffered from Piriformis Syndrome for 8 years, had a botched release surgery by an orthopedic doctor who made the condition worse! At 8 years and 10 months I found him through a social media support group patient who had their Piriformis muscle removed by Dr. T. He removed my muscles, yes I had two on one side, not even seen in the release surgery, and he did two surgeries to fix damaged nerves the orthopedic did in the release surgery. Dr. T is not only an amazing surgeon, but a humble person who talks to his patients as equal human beings. He listens and the first doctor out of 13 who understood my He perfected the surgery for Piriformis Syndrome by removing the muscle.
