Dr. Todd Evan Handel, MD

I’ve had hip pain for quite a while and I know that eventually I will have to have a hip replacement. In the meantime, a friend suggested that I see Dr. Handel for pain management. He is wonderful!! He carefully listened to my “complaints” and ordered x-rays to fully assess the situation. He explained what he could do, went over the x-rays with me, and took the time to answer my questions. I have had my first shot, and once again, Dr. Handel and his staff were so patient and supportive. Already the pain has subsided. I highly recommend Dr. Handel.

I have been a patient of Dr. Handel's since 2006. I partially tore my ACL. He saw me right away and was able to get me an appointment for an MRI quickly to access the damage and start treatment. We opted out of surgery and began rigorous PT. I felt amazing pretty quickly. Fast forward to 2017, I re injured that same knee this time fully tearing the ACL. My knee was so swollen and there was a lot of discomfort. I immediately called Dr. Handel he saw me the next day! He drained all the fluid from my knee giving my immediate relief! I couldn't believe it! My next step was surgery to repair the knee. He referred me to an outstanding surgeon and I'm ??% better. Thanks Doc.

Dr. made sexually inappropriate comments to me on more than one occasion.

I tried multiple times over the course of 3 days to reach this office. The line always rang and no one answered. I sent three emails. They were not responded to. Eventually, when I succeeded in getting through, I was told I was rejected as a patient because I had been spoken with (not true). I would not recommend this office.

I fell in 2003 when only a few weeks post-partum. I was taken by ambulance to a hospital that X-rayed my hip and found no injury. Months later an MRI revealed a broken sacrum bone. I suffered pain that made me unable to walk for YEARS before I was referred to Dr. Handel. Within minutes of seeing me he had diagnosed my mysterious pain problem that no one else had been able to diagnose! I made an appointment for the treatment he suggested. Had the procedure and was relieved of that problem for nearly a year! He keeps me walking, functioning, working full-time and suffering as little pain as possible. I was referred there for my walking issue but he helps me with other pain issues too, like migraine. I refer everyone to his practice.

Very rude, very full of himself, no empathy, doesn’t listen. I will never go back and definitely don’t recommend to anyone!!!

Had a cortisone shot this morning and although I was told it may take several days for my back pain to subside I’m without pain for the first time in 5 years. The staff is first rate and the medical professionals are compassionate and articulate. Highly recommended!!!!!

Being an R.N., I spent quite a bit of time researching to whom I should go to, re. my severe back issues. I feel like a hit the jackpot! Gabby, the front receptionist, was so pleasant and professional. I met with Bryant Myers on my first visit, and then Dr. Handel for my lumbar injection. Both of them were very empathetic, and exhibited a great deal of compassion! I went from spending most of my time laying down with a heating pad, to an active woman again. I cannot imagine where I would be, had I not taken the advice of multiple physicians I know that referred me to the Handel Center. I will never go anywhere else! And, by the way, fluoroscopy is used during the procedure!!

Dr. Handel zeroed in on two specific areas that were causing great pain. One of them there was even talk of neck surgery. He was able to find and eliminate the source of pain in both areas. Truly a master of his skill set.
