I was referred to Dr. Igel by my family doctor, after learning that my local urologist had detected evidence of low grade prostate cancer during a rectal biopsy. It was unclear as to whether active surveillance or treatments were needed. Dr. Igel patiently explained the various stages of prostate cancer and treatment options. He ordered an MRI and then performed a follow up transperineal prostate biopsy. These tests pinpointed the problem area and showed the need to address this condition. Dr. Igel was a blessing from God. He caught the problem early. After considering treatment options, I chose laparoscopic robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy, performed by Dr. Igel. I was extremely pleased with the surgery results. The pathology report indicated that it had not spread outside the prostate. Also, he must have done a great job sparing the nerves that surround the prostate. Side effects have been minimal. At 70 years of age, I was back on the tennis courts within the 6-8 week… window. I couldn't be happier with the results!

Dr. Igel is an amazing doctor. He never made me feel rushed. After I was asking a lot of questions, he sat back in his chair and said, "I'm here for you, ask me everything". He explained exactly what he was going to do while displaying the MRI image. He tailored the procedure for my case, and I'm healing quickly. I cannot thank Dr. Igel enough for getting my life back.

If you have prostate cancer as. I did at a young age. Dr Todd. Is your guy. Highly suggest a visit to him he saved my life and everything functions as it should

Call you in fairly quickly. Then you wait. why isolate if they are not ready for you. This is fairly chronic with most doctors I have seen.
