I've been going to him for a long time. He doesn't stress out and gives different options. He'll help you go to a specialist or he's fine with you finding your own specialist.

I was new to the area and attempted to get a checkup with the standard preventative care tests. I made the appointment 1-2 weeks in advance and on the day of my visit, the receptionist said that my insurance didn't cover what I wanted. My insurance was through my university but it was with a major carrier and better than some I've had from employers. I did speak to the doctor who also didn't seem to understand that all preventative care is covered on all plans these days. He suggested coming back another time when I had an illness. This was in 2014 well after the ACA took effect. I was very annoyed to say the least. To be fair, the receptionist did put me on the phone with someone who was supposedly from my insurance company that also said 'preventative care' wasn't covered. Needless to say, my time was wasted and I was never given a check up, so I won't be going back and can't really evaluate his medical skills.
