Dr. Tung Thuy Nguyen, MD

I have a vp shunt which Ive had since I was young and have had many brain surgeries. After moving to NH Ive been through a few doctors and 1 bad surgery, which left me with very little eye sight, not able to walk without help or eat without throwing up. I feel that Dr. Nuygen saved my life, Im a normal 34 year old now. I feel Dr. Nuygen will not do surgery unless he knows its defiantly needed ( as for surgery is always a risk). He listens to you and treats you and your family as if they were his own. He made my husband as comfortable as you can be with your wife going through also brain surgeries in one year. Also I had a stomach surgery with my doctor who is from a different town and because my gyno felt uncomfortable with how many tubes I had in my stomach coming from my head she consulted Dr. Nyugen and he made him self avaible so he could be on the phone at any point during the surgery, he also offered to take time out of his day and come to hospital he doesnt work at and be there… if they needed to to talk him, or if I needed to be taken to SNH. I totally recommend him and his staff, they all made me feel less worried throw a tuff time.

He did one surgery on lumbar spine and it went very well, he is an excellent surgeon. Unfortunately still had a problem, he never took it or me seriously, he disagreed with radiologist regarding results from thoracic MRI. Sought help from other doctors and have now learned I have a mass in thoracic region compressing spinal cord. Preping for more surgery with new doctors.

Would not trust another dr to operate on my spine
