Dr. Tuyet Minh Fannin, DO

I had a swollen ankle and was short of breath. She was concerned I had a clot. Because of her contacts, within 30 minutes I was at Dell/Seton ER, wired for tests. After 6 hours, ER determined I had peripheral clots but no interior clots. Treatable by oral medicine. Discharged by ER, but her quick action and contacts could have saved my life.

Dr. Fannin is very knowledgeable, considerate and helpful. She takes the time to get to know you and help you make the right decisions for better health care. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor.

Dr Fannin used to be my favorite doctor, but now she is too distracted. She's never in the office when I call during normal business hours. She referred me to a specialist who won't see me without my file from Dr Fannin but weeks later, she still hasn't sent my info and I can't make an appointment. She won't process refill requests in less than a week when its time dependent. She does not care about her patients anymore. I used to feel differently but this past year has proven she does not care.

Dr. Fannin is probably my all time favorite doctor. She is very personable, very thorough and doesn't hurry through the appointment. Her staff is very professional and nice to work with. She KNOWS her patients- name and health issues without looking at her charts. I ran into her at a farmer's market and she called me by name and asked me whether I had gotten in to see the specialist she referred me to. Love her!

I almost didn't write this review.. because I want to keep this WONDERFUL practice a secret... but, I also want to give them the PROPS they most definitely deserve, so here I go:Dr. Tuyet Nguyen(now Dr. Fannin) and her staff, Josh and Trenton are THE BEST....EVER... SERIOUSLY.I booked my first physical with her about a month ago. Even as a new patient, I was able to see her the following week. I was VERY impressed by the office staff's accommodating, flexible scheduling abilities and their phone persona's. (but that's not even the coolest part the staff's organizational skills... just wait). Once I got there, they took my picture so the Dr. would be able to reference it with my chart... I filled out some quick paper work, and in I went.(NO WAIT TIME).Once I was in the exam room, a super nice, efficient assistant came in and took all my vitals, asked me some general health/lifestyle questions and said the Dr. would be in a bit... "yeah right, in a bit" I thought... cause we all know… about the 'exam room wait'. But she was there in two-shakes-of-a-lamb's-tail! She gave me the physical, then really listened to to all of my most recent symptoms(including anxiety/depression) then ordered a blood test for many many things... a few I thought weren't needed(like the lymes disease test), but she explained that she wanted to be really thorough in my examination, so I just trusted and scheduled the blood test. She also requested all my current health records from my gyno, my dermatologist, my past doctors, etc., so she can review my medical history.So that was that! I made my follow up and was off to get my blood drawn at their lab that is right across the street from her office!Blood tests came back... and she was RIGHT.. I have freakin' LYME DISEASE! And I had been to my dermatologist and other doctors more than five times trying to figure out what the wired rash on my leg was... none of them tested me for lymes.. because none of them took the time to listen to my symptoms like Dr. Fannin did! Then, she said she wanted to biopsy the rash and did it right then and there.. whilst her assistant came in with his portable netbook to make my follow up appointment! She also discovered I had a severe vitamin D deficiency and may have Lupus.. yikes.. I know... but at least I can start to treat and heal my ailments.She then recommended me to a dermatologist for a follow up appointment to check the rash in case she missed something. I called to make the appointment and couldn't get in for three weeks. I told her about the wait time at my next appointment... and the next day, the dermatologist called to get me in that week! I guess Dr. Fannin or her staff called them to get me in sooner!Also, my mom came with me to a few appointments and even she was impressed... and she is a nurse. Dr. Fannin and her staff were sooo very patient with all of our questions and concerns. And I was a little worried, because we had alot of questions about my illnesses.In summary, this is the most well-run, efficient, technologically savvy, thorough, caring DOCTOR office I have ever been to. I'm so very thankful for Symphony Health care!PS. She and her staff are seriously stylin' in the wardrobe department. :)

Dr. Fannin (she was recently married) is hands down the best doctor I have ever been to. She once determined that I probably had meningitis, sent me to the hospital where they didn't want to test me as they were convinced that she was wrong. They reluctantly tested me and lo! Dr. Fannin was right. They were impressed and, thanks to my doctor with spidey sense, I was able to get treatment early for something that needed it. My whole family sees Dr. Fannin and will for as long as she's around. And here's the kicker: Not only is she good at figuring out the problem, but she actually cares about each and every patient. She treats every patient as if he or she is a close relative. I absolutely do not trust most doctors, and when I do, it's usually only to a degree, but I trust Dr. Fannin completely and without question. She has proven herself to me and my family. But I also agree with the other woman who gave her a good review. I don't ever want her to get so many patients that… she can't fit us in when we need it. So just stay away if you can. ;-)

Dr. Nguyen has by far been the best doctor I've had because her approach to medicine has been that of considering all treatment measures before an overall diagnoses is made as oppose to just treating symptoms and prescribing medications. Her bedside manner is also excellent!
