Beware. If you require complex care, this provider will abandon you without warning. I had an appointment with Ms. Azubuike and directly after, she terminated care without warning despite being my provider for over a year. Brain Health USA typically offers video appointments but due to complex conditions, I requested a reasonable accommodation under the ADA of a phone appointment to reduce symptoms. This became an ongoing issue with Brain Health and the provider. I am still not sure if the provider was the leading issue or the psychiatric center but I found myself having to repeatedly remind them that my appointments needed to be phone calls for the whole time that I was in her care. At no point was I directly made aware that phone appointments were specifically an issue with her or the office until after care was terminated. She also seemed to have a distinct lack of understanding of very common neurodevelopmental conditions despite having ADHD and other conditions listed under her… areas of expertise. It was and still is upsetting to pick a provider that you expect to be kinder, more caring, and aware enough to work with marginalized populations having blatant disregard for you and your life over something as simple as video vs. phone appointments. Her choice to not be directly honest created a prominent setback for my mental health and sent me into complete and daily nervous system dysregulation. If you have any condition that causes struggle with regulation, especially if you’re also dealing with big life changes on top of that — Steer Clear of this Provider!
