Dr. Ursula Louise Thatch, MD

Extremely long wait times. Dr is pushy judgmental and rude.

I haven't been to a female doctor in several years now due to time and finances, but when I last saw Dr. Thatch, she was very caring and good at her job.

Make sure to ask about billing because they will let you think everything is covered by insurance and then send you a very expensive bill monthes after your visit. And the woman in billing is useless and unwilling to work with you or help you.

Allow about 2 hours, on average, as she usually runs very late. Even first morning appointments run 1 1/2 hours late, and has taken as long as 3 hours from arrival to leaving time. The up side is that she does spend time with you, and she is very direct. It is frustrating, though, to wait so long beyond your appointment time before even being called back to the room, plus waiting time in the room before she comes in. I would understand it, on occasion, if she helped deliver babies, as that is the nature of the game, but as she doesn't, it can be a deal breaker...

I have been a patient of Dr Thatch for almost 30 years. She is an excellent Dr, explains things, and genuinely cares! The only complaint I could come up with is the waiting time to get called back for your appointment; HOWEVER, it's ok, because she spends time with her patients covering and discussing any and all concerns, so it's understandable, and acceptable to me, knowing she takes her time with me as she does everyone else.

When I first came to see Dr. Thatch, my body was haywire. She helped to get my system back operating again. I would not trade her for any other doctor. She really cares about her patients.

DR THATCH HAS 2 OF THE MOST UNPLEASANT SECRETARIES I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN A PHYSICIANS OFFICE. NEVER PLEASANT IN PERSON OR ON THE PHONE. THEY ARE DEF IN THE WRONG PROFESSION. AS FAR AS HER NURSE OR MED ASSISTANT, SHE IS A VERY SWEET AND CARING PERSON. IF YOU COULD ONLY HAVE TO SPEAK WITH HER INSTEAD OF THE OTHER STAFF YOUR EXPERIENCE WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER.

I have only positive things to say about this doctor. She aks questions and follows up about problems or concerns.I feel that the amount of time spent with me is appropriate. She is courteous and professional. Office staff have also always been courteous and professional.

I have made a few visits to Dr. Thatch over the years. I don't visit a lot, because I'm in pretty good health. Her staff, especially those on the phones, are very abrupt and rude. I usually wait an hour to an hour and a half from the scheduled time of my appointment to the time I'm in the room, then another 20-30 minute wait to see the doctor for only a few minutes. One time, I waited over 2.5 hours with no explanation. Recently, I had a primary physician try and get me an emergency appointment but Thatch couldn't see me until 3 months later, so I was booked with a different OBGYN. When I called Thatch's office to set up another appointment with her for a later time, she refused to see me anymore because I had gone to another OBGYN for an emergency visit. Seeing this doctor is not worth the rudeness, the long wait times to get an appointment only to sit in a waiting room for an hour and a half, and the unprofessional attitude of her and her staff.
