Dr. Valencia Renee Burruss, MD

I enjoy my initial visit; however, I did rate a 5 due to being in the back 45 minutes before the NP was able to see me. She was very thorough and I was pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend.

I walked in with out an appointment and her staff was helpful and great!

For the gentleman who assumed that Dr. Burruss failed to provide him with quality medical care simply because he is Caucasian, that could not be further from the truth. The reason why Dr. Burruss failed to provide you with quality medical care is because she is basically incompetent and utterly inconsiderate...has nothing at all to do with race in my opinion. I am an African American woman who took my children in to see this doctor after relocating from another state. Two of my three children has special needs, and one in particular, does not do well with long waits. While the amount of time that it takes to get from the waiting room to the exam room is somewhat acceptable (aprox. 10 minutes on average) I was astounded to find that the wait once you are IN the exam room can EASILY be upwards of an hour! I have never, in all of my years of living experienced wait times like that, and being military, we have lived in many different states and out of the country. After waiting for… approximately an hour and 15 minutes on our very first visit, I asked her (when she sauntered in non-nonchalantly with her laptop) whether this was a typical wait time for her office, to which she flippantly replied "Depends". When you add the insane amount of time spent waiting to the fact that her bedside manner is abysmal to non-existent at best, then you have the makings for a horrific experience. During one of our visits, she had a PA student working with her who attempted to exam my son who has autism. Well, this "student" was very impatient with my son not immediately responding to her requests, and she was speaking in a very sharp tone of voice. When I tried to explain to her that he didn't understand what she meant, and that she would have to ask him very slowly and deliberately, Dr. Burruss interjected saying that I shouldn't "underestimate" my son, and that he could understand the student. Excuse me lady? I know my son VERY well, and I have a heck of a lot more experience working with children with autism than you probably ever will! We have since found another physician...one who is actually a pediatrician, and we are NEVER in the waiting room longer than 5 minutes, and once my kids' vital signs have been taken, the doctor always walks into the office within 5 minutes! Like night and day compared to our previous experience with Dr. V. Burruss. Please, if you value your health and your time, AVOID this doctor like the plague. There are FAR better options out there!

Bad knees,much pain,legs throb at night and are restless,high blood pressure problems,she prescribed something for blood that made me ancey,nervous and told her I stopped taking ,she had no comment,no followup .I'm over 400 pounds and try as much as I can to exercise.need help to be able to do so often enough to loose weight.I was told to eat better and exercise more and I would NOT get anythingto help with the pain or restless leg problem(annoying nurse standing behind her rubbernecking up and down mumbling awh huh-awh huh) ABOVE ALL NOTHING AT ALL FOR THE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE even though it's a process of elimanation to find out what is best for the patient she chose to ignore the problem . SHE WALKS IN WITH AN OPEN LAPTOP AND BARELY PUTS IT DOWN,AT LEAST IN MY CASE. All I got was some cream for a bug bite. That's when I came to the opinion that I am too WHITE for her and she'll never try to help me because I think she might be racist . I think even thou she sees I can barely… walk or stand up straight she thinks I'm an overweight 60 year old junky so nothing for back,hip and KNEE pain or the throbbing legs but IGNORING THE BLOOD PRESSURE PROBLEM is what made me think this! Waste of time,Standard of care is a joke but hey she'll take Medicare money,keep track of what she charges them,just saying. After going to her office for 3 years or better I have to cut her loose VERY POOR STANDARD OF CARE( JUST MY OPINION)

Everything went as schedule

Please don't see her if you need good service and a smile. Terrible staff and overbooks her time. She is not in this for the patient. Clearly she just thought she would be rich some day. She is not a good resource and I would stay away at all health cost. Good Luck

While the staff is attentive, the overall environment is uncomfortable. The bathroom used for sample collection has dirty floors and the baseboards throughout the entire office are filthy looking. The exam tables have torn coverings with the foam padding coming out. This makes me wonder on the sanitary(unsanitary?) nature of the tables. The entire office REQUIRES a THOROUGH painting and most, if not all, of the patient exam surfaces should be replaced/updated. The ointroduction of the "Minority Health News" channel is a poor choice. Not all patients are minority therefore the statement from the shows presented, including one heard over and over again, "...our 'white' counterparts" is offensive in the least to non-ethnic patrons. Overall, I would not go back, nor would I recommend this office to anyone and would do the opposite instead. Their image should be completely overhauled.

I took her as my new PCM for Tricare Remote in the military. Waited 2 hours, one of them in un-airconditioned room in late June. She said she was putting the two referrals I needed in right then. A week later, nothing. Called the office and rude clerk said she was the referral girl and she had been out. She would get to it when she could.

Worst ever! I spent 2 1/2 HALF hours waiting to see Ms Burruss cant call her Dr. The staff is something that I have never seen before.The staff isnt organized,OMG poor FISH someone should call PETA.I had appointment got there I waited for 1 hour before I decided to see how much longer before I see Ms Burruss.She say to me you dont have a Dr Appointment today. Im glad I had my card. Stay away...
