Dr. Vedant Agrawal, PsyD

My name is Vedant Agrawal and I am a Ph.D. in psychology in the process of licensure as a psychologist. I am also a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow PSB 94026218, supervised by Ayelet Hirshfeld, Ph.D. PSY 22767. Through seven years of experience, I have developed my expertise in culture, diversity, trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, couples therapy, family therapy, and school-based psychotherapy. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I specialize in the use of cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT), psychodynamic therapies, and emotion focused therapies. I am most effective when working with individual adolescents, adults, and older adults who are suffering from PTSD, emotional trauma, attachment trauma, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment stress, difficulties with social skills, relational difficulties, and low self-esteem. I am also effective in working with couples who struggle with difficulty …communicating, frequent conflict, trauma in relationship, and difficulties related to physical and emotional intimacy. My goal as a psychotherapist is to help my client journey from a sense of pain, aloneness, abandonment, and self-rejection, to an acceptance of the self, compassionate self-reflection, and inner peace. I seek to help clients integrate the various aspects of themselves and find a truer sense of their place in the world.
