Dr. Verica Neskovic, MD

I've been misdiagnose for over 17 to 18 years before seeing Dr Neskovic. When I went to see her the first time she seemed dismissive. She was the only doctor that I can get in to see that was close to me and she was highly recommended. After studying up on my symptoms and what the possibilities could be, I requested to have an MRI done with and without contrast due to migraines, muscle spasms, memory loss, along with many other symptoms. she originally had refused to do the MRI until I reminded her that I'm the one who pays her bills. She then ordered an MRI but did not do as I requested and only did a MRI without contrast. A week later I was called to come in and do a second MRI this time with contrast (now paying for two MRIs which are not cheap) as I originally had requested. Then I went to her office to get the results and they found over 40 lesions on my brain. She ran several tests that were very appropriate to rule out other diagnosis. Then I'm returning to her office again for… those updates she told me that the lesions on my brain was nothing to worry about. That they were in the wrong portion of the white matter of my brain. I was to have a follow-up MRI one year later but was never called back to get one scheduled. In the meantime I had requested a peripheral nerve test and was never given a follow-up call or appointment to let me know that I do have peripheral nerve damage. Do to her lack of response to my several inquiries on the peripheral nerve test and the follow-up MRI I finally found a new doctor. My new doctor was adamant about finding out what was wrong. She said several of those lesions that supposedly was something nothing to worry about where in an active state. In the end, I found out that I have secondary progressive MS. For Dr Neskovic being a MS specialist I believe she needs to go back to school. Because if she would have caught it I would not be using a walker today. Also when my husband I had asked her if she would talk to her colleagues in general when it came to a difficult case, she said no she would not. According to her she didn't need to. I would never ever recommend this doctor to anyone. I was so upset do to her lack of care and incompetence that I registered a complaint against her.
