Dr. Victoria Mcclellan Silas, MD

My son was referred to Dr Salis by his pediatrician and I was not impressed! She appeared to be in a rush, and was not personable. I was immediately taken back by how short she was with going over my sons X-rays and when I tried to better I understand what she still appeared flat and eager to end the visit. I would not refer her to any of my friends or family.

We have now saw Dr Silas twice, its very evident fast that she does not have compassion for patients by her actions and words. At this point i do not trust her with my childs care and needs, I will be switching dr right away and take my business to another provider.

Dr.Silas never listen to me about my son's post opp pain after surgery she just kept calling it post opp pain.But she knew not to put him in a body cast because we needed to see how things were gona go...Well we called every day for weeks and at his post opp appointment I told her he could not straiten out his leg Dr.Silas responds oh ya we can then walks over and very fast put's her hand on his knee her other hand on his ankle and push down on the knee pulls out on his ankle..Then I yell to stop as she calmly leaves the room ..when this happened you could see my son's vain's pop out and he turned beat red..She sent us home with a leg brace...Please mind the fact my son is allergic to all pain narc's and Dr. Silas knows this..The next 2-3 weeks my son is still bedridden and she just calls it post opp pain.Then one night my son was in a lot of pain I called the fire department and Dr.Silas's office, the on call doctor spoke with the fire department from my phone and said it's just post… opp pain NO need to bring him in to the E.R. so they gave me the field report and left my son behind.It take's me 2hours to get a ride to the E.R to wait 2hrs more to find out that rod broke and shattered his femur..When I ask what happened what went wrong I was told by one doctor "That's why they call it a practice" the next doctor said "S***Happen's"...This is how my son left Mary Bridge Children Hospital and transfers care to Seattle's Children's hospital...If Dr.Silas would have only listen to my pleas my son would have not suffered the way he did. She will have to stand before God one day and give account.Dr.Silas has not kept her words she pledged with the physician's oath...She failed my son on so many level's

My son broke his elbow in 2008 and I got referred to marry bridge hospital where she was on call orthopedic she did my son's surgery and put the cast too tight around his arm and thanks God that I took him back to hospital the same day he came back from hospital coz I had a felling that there is something wrong and off course yes the cast was too tight they had to remove it then I took him back to her where her staff did it again but my son's arm didn't get better she was keep saying that keep getting the therapy treatments 4 years past nothing happened my son's other arm and hand was growing but not the right one she was keep saying nerves r damaged they will come back with the passage of time .nerves were not damaged it was bone who got dead bcoz of wrapping the cast too tight she kept mis guidind me wrong .I wish whatever ever she has done to my son's arm it happens to her then she will realize what she did to my 10 yrs old.

Dr. Silas did not provide my husband and I with accurate information about my daughters condition. She sugar coated it so we wouldn't be overwhelmed. She did not inform us about the one complication that could occur because she was worried it would be too much information for first time patients, and the complication occurred. She did not provide my child with proper care. We went to get a second opinion. We did not return to dr. silas. Dr. silas did not follow up with us. 2 weeks after my daughter should have been seen I called her to tell her why we went with another doctor. Dr. Silas could have changed my daughters whole life in a bad way. We are very lucky that I trusted my insticts and got a second opinion!!!!

I fell and broke my arm just below the shoulder joint. I went to the hospital ER and was seen by Dr. Silas. She is a pediatric orthopedic physician but does emergency, on-call work with adults at Allenmore hospital. She put 4 pins in my upper arm and immobilized it to see if the arm would mend. Her colleague, after looking at my x-rays, had recommended immediate partial artificial shoulder replacement. Dr. Silas thought that that was a bit extreme and premature; she held out hope that the bone would knit together and if it didn't, she knew she could always fall back on the artificial shoulder replacement. It worked! She has such a patient, wonderful bedside manner. I always felt that everything was going to turn out right (in regards to my arm). I highy recommend Dr. Victoria Silas and if you should happen to be an adult and she attends to you---know that you are in very good hands.

Didn't listen to concerns, didn't educate us on the condition. downplayed severity of a serious illness.
