Dr. Vidyadhar Vinayak Upasani, MD

Dr. Upsani cared for our son over a 3 year period where he corrected a 3 inch leg length discrepancy after a growth plate arrest. Our choices were to arrest leg length and manage our sons height, arresting the healthy growth plate, to his height at age 13 of 5 ft 7. With MRI imaging we were told our sons potential height would be six ft 1 or 2. At 13 we could not arrest his height to 5"7, but we did ask our son if he wanted to take on this surgery. So as a team with Dr. Upasani we moved forward with leg lenthening. This required 3 major surgeries, reconstructive, rod implant, magnetic lengthening and removal of device over 3 years. Our son could not walk without crutches or a wheelchair for over a year. The care and compassion from the team is something I will never forget. Our son now stands 6ft 2, and is at University, on the varsity rowing team. Dr. Upasani is a leader in his field, put your child in his hands.

Dr. Upasani was so amazing with my 3 year old son and i through all of the trauma my son went through with breaking his arm! We felt so comfortable around him and he really speaks to the children at their level. We really were super blessed to have him as our dr.
