some in his staff could improve a lot

If I could give zero stars, I would. The unfortunate part is that Dr. Hansen himself was wonderful. But if he takes blood, don't expect them to share the results with you, even though he says he will. If you call, be prepared to wait on hold for 20 or more minutes every time. If you or someone you love has cancer, you deserve better. Go somewhere else.

I was a stage III breast cancer patient and owe my life to Dr Hansen. He is very caring and has a very caring and courteous staff. The atmosphere in his office is like none other! Instead of being stiff, clinical, and sad, it is very laid back and fun! The support system is excellent! I am in remission and I owe it all to Dr Hansen, his expertise, and his hard working staff! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Only saw him a few times before I found someone else. Typical wait time was 2.5 hours after my appt time. He wouldn't answer my questions and did not offer hope (As I write this I am a few years post treatment). He finally handed me a stack of paper and says that after researching on the internet, this is how I think we should treat your cancer. Granted, my cancer is rare. But that clicked things into place in my head that he didn't know what to do and should have admitted it 6 weeks earlier. He had already ordered, and I had already gottten..., the wrong port placed for chemo. His staff was never very helpful, rudely charged me a copay even though I insisted I didn't have one (later refunded at MY request - because I in FACT did NOT have one). Phone calls were not returned. I don't know if they've gone to EMR yet, but the place was always a total mess of charts and papers. Probably why nothing was done efficiently.

I would not recommend. In a period of 3 years, I have seen the dr. 3 times, and one of which by accident when I was in the hospital and he was on rounds - didn't even know I was in hospital. After crucial tests, wait time is very long for results, and just recently told it is my responsibility to contact their office and they will get back to me in 24-48 hours. After all of this time, I was just given information on my condition which was never mentioned at any time before. Should spend more time with patients, and less formulating his chemicals.

Dr. Hansen, is kind and caring, takes time to listen, and address your concerns and questions. His staff is kind and helpful, and professional. I've had no issues with him or his staff. They always follow up with us, and follow through on what they say they will do. Diagnosis on spot, treatment coincides with what I've researched. I say he's top notch.
