He is very pleasant and he took his time with me did not feel rushed. I was very apprehensive to have the cataract surgery. He explained the entire procedure, he was an excellent clinician with a great beside manner . Excellent results I received with better than 2020. At 73, I recommend him 110% to all my friends and family.

This was first visit to the Sweeney Eye practice. I chose them because of excellent word of mouth recommendations and personal stories of good experiences with the staff and doctors. I had done extensive research on cataract needs and procedures with the goal of identifying a "Premium Lens" shop to perform my once in a lifetime eye surgery. I knew I was not going to use the doctor I had used for medical maintenance for the last 16 years perform my IOL surgery because they are a wholesale, numbers driven practice with just "adequate" care (IMO). I met the Sweeney staff for my cataract evaluation and over the next 3 hours, discovered more about my eyes than was shared over the many years with the other cattle call place. I met Dr. Venincasa and I was very pleased with his warm and welcoming demeanor. After I name dropped the many IOL brand names I had researched and discovered on my own (we talked tech), he explained (in great detail) to me what he thought would be the best fit for me… going forward, based on the extensive examination I just completed. Together, we formed a plan to restore my vision, using the latest best practices and equipment. I look forward to this new relationship for my vision care and have confidence in my new doctor and professional staff.

Dr. Venincasa came in and checked my eye again. Upon checking he explained that he had bad news. He also explained why he would have to refer me to UT Southwestern. He proceeded to answer my questions. But I'm sure if I have any needs I can come back.

Dr. Venincasa treated me with extreme care and did a great job of explaining the process. The staff at the surgical center were incredibly caring and were well rehearsed in all aspects of the procedure.
