This is one of the best medical practices I have been to. Everyone is competent, knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. I have recommended the practice to friends and will continue to do so.

I can't say enough good things about the knowledge and professionalism of this practice! They have helped me the year my arthritis was so bad that I couldn't walk, and now they are attending to me as my hands are so swollen that I am incapacitated. My arthritis doctor referred me to them for my pain management.

Dr. Virgil Balint and PA-C Deborah Nelson have literally improved my life. I have seen, Dr. Balint and primarily PA-C Deb Nelson where she is my lead caregiver at National Spine & Pain Center (NSPC). My case has been one with several complications caused by an orthopedic practice. I cannot say enough about the tremendous care I received from both Dr. Nelson and Dr. Balint. They have helped me more than I can put in to words. They are an example of what should be the definition of exemplary patient care! I have built a strong patient: doctor relationship with Dr. Nelson and because of that we have made significant positive progress. The doctors are so attentive and take the time to listen and discuss various options and strategies. Thank you Dr. Deb Nelson and Dr. Virgil Balint for being such excellent care givers with so much compassion and empathy; you are both wonderful people!! The words “Thank You!!!” just isn’t nearly enough to convey the impact both of you have made… in my life as well as my family’s and friend’s. These are the best doctors I have worked with that are pain specialists! They are caring, very knowledgeable and have the best team especially in this field of medicine. They are not just prescription writers and I have been with this practice for over 8 years. They have helped me survive cancer, numerous surgeries & now CKD. Without the help of Dr. Balint, Deb Nelson, Rita...their whole team, I doubt I would be alive today! They have been there for me and always have looked after my best interest! Listened to me and understood my complaints about my chronic pain.

I came to the Spine and Pain Center with a lot of pain and weakness in both legs with pins and needle feeling. Dr. Balint gave me 3 injections and a huge amount of opioids. After 4 months of taking all of these, he got me hooked on this and then indicated he did not want to see me any longer. He did not even try to get me off of the opioid withdrawal with smaller doses of pain medicine or with Zubsolv or Suboxone. I had 10 days of the worst pain I believe a person could ever have with very little sleep and almost nothing to eat due to no appetite. I almost literally died. Do you think he or his staff cared - NO! Does this doctor have a medical degree. If so, he does not know what the Hippocratic Oath is - DO NO HARM. He did a lot of harm and did not care about me at all. The last time I saw him, he indicated he wanted to see me and my wife. He saw us for about several minutes just to say he did not want to see me any longer and then charged the insurance company about 500 dollars.… Finally, about a month later, he sent a certified letter indicating he did not want to have me as a patient any longer. Good riddance to him as well. Find any other doctor as I believe he only cares about money and not the patient!!!
