Dr. Vivek Agrawal, MD

Dr Agrawal performed rotator cuff surgery on me and repaired nerve damage that he said I had. It has been 20 months since surgery. Another reviewer is right, Dr Agrawal doesn't do pain management after surgery nor does he believe in physical therapy so you receive none. I am now with another very well known and respected shoulder surgeon. He looked at the same MRI as Dr Agrawal and told me that I never had a rotator cuff tear. Further, this new surgeon said the rotator cuff surgery Dr Agrawal performed on me has now given me a very serious arthritic should joint and that I now face total shoulder replacement. My advaice - Stay away from Dr Agrawal, he's not interested in what's right for his patients, money is his motivator and will perform unwarranted surgery on you just for the money!!!

Dr. Agrawal is a terrific surgeon, but loses interest in his patients immediately after surgery. Unfortunately, he is not proactive in preventing complications after surgery, and is only, somewhat, reactive in finding solutions to those complications. Patti, his R.N., is fantastic!!!

Dr. Agrawal is an excellent surgeon but he refuses to manage the patient's pain after the initial 7 to 10 day post-op period. The majority of shoulder surgeries require pain management for a month or longer, so be sure you have another doctor who is willing to treat your pain.
