Dr. Walter Daivd Toronjo, MD

Dr. Toronjo is the most arrogant, narrow minded doctor I have ever had the misfortune to meet. If he has a student in the room with him he is even worse. His ego really gets in the way of any real services or diagnosis he could provide. If you are overweight at all or are a smoker, beware. He will blame any and all of your problems on your weight and tobacco use, even if you have a positive test result indicating a serious illness that has nothing to do with weight or tobacco use. If he could get past his ego he might be actually be an okay doctor. I would never say he could be a good doctor. I just can see that happening!

He is a great doctor. I have been going to him for a long time and love that he really listens.

Dr Toronjo has been my primary care physician for 20 years. He’s recommended specialized physicians when he felt necessary and his diagnosis have always been correct.

Treats the patient as a person, not just a symptom. FANTASTIC.

I find Dr. Toronjo to be somewhat 'arrogant', (actually, a lot...) although I think he's a good doctor. Like another doctor told me, "HE has to be the one to come to the idea...", meaning that sometimes He is 'dismissive' to what you say but may eventually come around to it as long as it's HIS idea.. Crazy, yea.. kind of. But a couple of doctors have told me that he truly is a 'good doctor', but they knew exactly what I mean about his 'arrogance' and prideful attitude. I've Seen him several times, but am looking for a new doctor at this point. Nobody know our bodies better than ourselves and I think we have a certain 'intuition' that lets us know what we need. Some doctors 'welcome' your input. In this case, I feel Dr. Toronjo needs to learn to LISTEN more to his patients and be willing to acknowledge that 'they' may be capable of doing their own research and coming up with ideas to heal themselves.... You and Your Doctor should be like a 'partnership' in which you feel… totally comfortable with.
