Dr. Warren Stuart Taranow, DO

Dr. Warren Taranow provided some of the worst healthcare I have ever received. His inability to listen, lack of empathy, and total self-focus exemplify his unprofessional approach.

Dr. Warren Taranow was the worst physician experience I have ever had.

Dr. Taranow is incredibly self focused and enamored with his own work product. When it comes to patient care, he is sorely lacking. Incredibly unprofessional.

So much was wrong with my left foot. I did not think it could really be fixed. Tendons damaged, bones dropping into my arch and lengthing the foot, toes curling, arthritis on the heal and the tibia bone pushing all inward! Definitely impacting my work and ability to take care of my garden and home. Well, it's all fixed! It feels terrific! Not yet entirely recovered from the surgery but oh so much better!! So impressed and grateful!

Was referred to Dr. Taranow for foot pain and instability. He didn't examine my feet AT ALL, just told me he couldn't help me. Didn't even look at my feet!!! I then got a referral to an orthopedic physician in Seattle who, within 5 minutes, diagnosed my problem as congenital cavovarus malalignment. I'd gladly drive to Seattle 10 times rather than ever go to Dr. Taranow for anything!

I received a compound fracture in my right foot and ankle from a nasty car accident a number of years ago. Dr. Taranow replaced the bone that died and gave me a cartilage transplant. I interviewed Doctors up and down the west coast before I chose Dr. T to perform the surgery. He did an amazing job. There was very little pain after the surgery and he was very supportive during my recovery. On a scale of 0 to 10, Dr. T is an 11. My recovery was challenging, but worth every minute of the time I invested in re-building the strength in my foot, ankle and leg. I am no longer walking on broken, dead bone. I was in horrible pain, prior to the surgery. Even Dr. T didn't know how I was manging to walk on my foot. We are very lucky to have Dr. T in Bellingham

I fell and suffered a broken hip and multiple breaks in my wrist, both required surgery. I was fortunate that Dr. Taranow was the on call doctor. He repaired my hip (the easy job) and rebuilt my wrist, which was a huge challenge due the number of beaks in it.. My recovery has been nearly perfect thanks to his expertise. He expressed a genuine interest in my injuries and the follow up was great. I highly recommend him.

Excellent doctor!! He really cares about each patient. He gave me great suggestions on how to process healing after foot surgery. I plan to have another surgery and would recommend him. The office wait is way too long.

Dr. Taranow was the 5th orthopedic surgeon I had seen over the course of three decades but the only one to explain the causes for increasingly painful osteoarthritis. During the very first consult, he accurately identified the location of the greatest painâ??and he explained that the cause was not the ankle damage but the heel damage. Dr. Taranow listens, answers my questions, provides clear explanations of treatment options and potential outcomes (including complications). As a result of his surgical expertise, I have regained the ability to walk and hike and now live virtually pain free. He is an excellent surgeon and extraordinary and compassionate physician.
