Summary
I am a native Southern Californian and I come from a family of physicians. After my medical school training in New Orleans, I returned to California, attending a medicine internship with Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. I became a Kaiser Permanente member myself at that time, and since then, have never left the organization as a patient. It was through my own excellent experience as a patient at Kaiser Permanente (as well as my family's experience) that I decided to join the staff as a physician. It is my goal to continue to provide the same outstanding care to my patients that I myself have always received. I trained in anesthesiology at UC Irvine, with a focus on critical care. Upon completing my residency, I joined the teaching staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for eight years. There is no greater opportunity to become expert in a field than to teach it to others.
