Dr. Wayne C Trout, MD

I had to see him while mine was out for what I thought was a typical infection but ended up being a pretty devastating diagnoses instead. I felt He was extremely rough in his exam, and sample collection - gave no indicators or preparation of what he was doing and had zero empathy or bedside manner. I was crying while he did the exam which was much more painful for me then any exam I’ve had. I left feeling violated and hysterically cried the entire day to get the news I did from someone so cold and awful. I had to stop my husband from going to the office to confront him it was that bad. He gave no instruction, no advice, no information on how to move forward except a small print out he handed me out the door. I knew literally nothing about the bomb I felt he dropped on my life. He didn’t even tell me if there was a prescription he called in, I had to go back in after I calmed down to ask the front desk about prescription notes. I may be more sensitive then most, but to not be conscious… of potential PTSD, or triggers in your handling of such a situation is, in my opinion, irresponsible and wrong. When I got to see my old gyno, the second I started talking about the diagnoses she immediately met me with warmth and started rattling off all the things I needed to know, all the next steps and measures she’d put in place for preventing any future issues. She took what I thought was the worst news ever and made it into something that was so small but it took months to deal with it on my own before I could see her. I am shocked to see any positive reviews for him because I have a hard time believing this was an isolated incident. For this guy, focus on the negative reviews and go to anyone else. I’ve had a male gyno in the past and this was not because it was a man vs a woman, it was just him.

My regular gynecologist was on vacation, so Dr. Trout was assigned to insert my IUD. He did not communicate well what he was doing during the procedure. He basically ordered me to relax rather than trying to figure out why I was so tense and ease that. After the procedure, I was still writhing in pain and unable to speak more than a few words (a stress response that I experience) when he told me to schedule my follow up at the front desk, and just left the room without asking if I needed anything or addressing any concerns that I had. I left with absolutely no aftercare instructions. Would not recommend him to anyone.

I've been seeing Dr. Trout for about 10 years. He has always been kind and gentle. He takes the time after the exam to speak with me and answer any questions I may have. Would recommend.

Tends to be gruff and is not gentle at all with internal exams.

delivered my son - 13 years ago - always asks about him in my yearly exam - makes me feel like he cares about every baby he delivers !!!

This was the worst medical experience that I've ever had. Dr. Trout's bedside manner is horrible. He lacks compassion, does not communicate and treated me with disrespect.

This has been my worst experience with a physician. I have endometriosis and have had care and two surgeries over 13 years. I went to this doctor for pain. He diagnosed me with IBS although questioning me zero regarding my diet and if I have any stomach reactions to food, of which I have none. I questioned him directly on this and asked him how when we know I have endometriosis he would diagnose me of something he has not even questioned me about. He literally would not provide me with birth control to regulate the problem which every OBGYN knows will regulate endometriosis. I went to another doctor who listened, cared, and prescribed me with medication and elevated my problems. Dr. Trout said "if I was a racehorse and he was betting on the race (my endometriosis), it had not grown back in 13 years." I let him know in our meeting he was unprofessional and should not be treating OBGYN patients. READ ALL the many other postings on website.... DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR! He is… unprofessional, condescending, and disrespectful. I read many other posts... also my check up was painful, he was overly rude, and I was very uncomfortable with this doctor.

i usually see Dr. Keder at this practice, but she was out of the office. i think as a doctor, he's just okay. he can be a little condescending, and when explaining my symptoms, he acted like he had no idea what i was talking about. other than that, i would maybe see him again if i had to. but he's not my first choice, i wouldn't want to receive prenatal care from him, and i wouldn't want to see him if i had a sensitive issue to discuss because he just doesn't seem to care all that much. I think he's in the wrong field.

Was very good at explaining things in term that I could understand. I have seen many doctors over my lifetime and this is far and away the best I have had.

This man should have his medical license taken away. He is condescending, judgmental, uninterested, and a terrible listener. He had a smirk on his face when talking to me and even confronted me for asking intelligent questions. The exam was painful, his questions inappropriate, and he was not interested in hearing what I had to say. He had already decided who I was and what the problem was without getting to know me. Not the way you want to be treated when you are already experiencing a physical problem. Don't even think about going. Also, this was the first time I trusted a male physician, and he blew it.
