Dr. Weldon Arnold Mauney III, MD

extremely hard to get through to anyone, to even answer phone, then extremely difficult to get anyone to call you back. poor office management. not blaming MD, he is great!!!

My 3 year old was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy. Dr. Mauney was AMAZING. We travel nearly two hours to go to his office at Child Neurology Center of NW FL. He is such a great doctor that when he first told us his suspected diagnosis, instead of leaving his office completely freaked out as one would expect, we left with a positive "this isn't that big of a deal" type of attitude. I can't even explain the amount of understanding that goes into his explanations, medication choices, and office persona. We are going to be moving even further away soon, and the ONLY regret we have is that we will be leaving this wonderful doctor behind. Since first seeing him about 6 months ago, we have completely ruled out other issues and my daughter's seizures are 100% controlled by medication. The staff in the front office is pleasant when you arrive to the waiting room. The only complaint we have had is that the staff member that answers the phone/returns phone calls is absolutely TERRIBLE about… actually returning calls. You never get a person actually answering the phone, you have to leave a msg, and it usually takes an average of 2 days to get a return call. But once you are in the office, the staff is courteous and friendly, and wait time is minimal. I can not stress enough how much we love Dr Mauney.

So far my experience with the staff of Dr. Mauney is TERRIBLE! Nobody returns my calls or picks up the telephones. I was scheduled an mri and could not get through to anyone for weeks to ask simple questions. STILL no returned calls.....!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mauney. He is a kind-hearted person which is a foundation for a great doctor. Some of his staff, unfortunately, are not at the same level of professionalism. Calls have not been returned and mistakes made with appointments. Support staff is critical to a doctor. Please address these issues with your staff.

Dr. Mauney was very approachable and easy to talk to. He answered all of our questions. We, the parents, and Dr. Mauney have the same goal in mind, to keep our daughter seizure free. She has been seizure free for 2 years now and is doing very well.

Dr. Mauney is fabulous, his office staff is horrible.
