Dr. Wendy Carmen Parnell, MD

Dr. Wendy Parnell is a fantastic doctor! I came to her with my first pregnancy and she did an amazing job of providing care and information every step of the way. I am now in my second pregnancy with her and am grateful to have such a knowledgeable and personable doctor by my side! Truly thankful for everything she has done!

I'm a former nurse and was recommended to use Dr. Wendy Parnell by another nurse...always a good sign to have nurses' approval. She is good at what she does and has an excellent bedside manner. She is always in a rush because what doctor isn't these days but she will patiently answer my questions all the same. She delivered my first child years ago and I will go to her for the next one as well.

After my son was delivered successfully and the days I spent in the hospital. Dr Wendy Parnell was on call as my doctor the last few days My son and I spent in the hospital, she did an amazing job with my sons circumcision and was attentive to my concerns and our needs while we were there. Dr. Wendy Parnell did a great job answering my questions and taking care of me and my son. The staff and doctors at medical city were absolutely amazing.

Today I went with my daughter to her doctor’s appointment. She’s 37 1/2 weeks pregnant and she have to meet with all the doctors in the practice before giving birth. So today was Wendy Parnell’s day. I have never met or saw a doctor get mad about a question asked. It’s my daughters first pregnancy and she’s in a lot of pain and this woman made the question personal and didn’t ease her mind at all she only help to fuel the negative thoughts. My daughter didn’t want her to exam her after she got the attitude and against her better judgment she gave into her examing her and to say said was extremely rough is an understatement. My child was in so much pain after she rammed her fingers inside my child. My daughter screams didn’t stop her or have her take it easy. I will find where I can complain to the medical board and that’s my next step.

My husband and I were happy with how personable and knowledgeable Dr. Wendy Parnell was from the first time we met her. Our story did not end the way either of us wanted but throughout the process she was informative, patient, empathetic and made herself available to me and my family at any time. For that we are grateful and appreciative. She is one fine person.

Very patient, kind, knowledgable, and personable

I started my pregnancy with an OBGYN that was the absolute worst. This was my 3 pregnancy but there was a 17 year gap between. Dr Parnell has been the most kind caring Dr I have experienced. Actually the most kind person I have come across since I moved to Texas 4 years ago. I have called the office for (to me now) silly reasons and she walked me through each scare. Not some nurse I never spoke to and doesn't know me. But the Dr herself called me back. The staff worked with me on making my payments. Never harassed me. Always started the conversation out with "what ever fits your budget". It was a wonderful help not having to stress about Dr bills while being pregnant.But still being able to chip away at the expense. I am so grateful for the referral to Dr Parnell's office. My oldest goes there and I have referred many friends. There should be more Dr.'s out there like you!

Totally great experience

Dr Wendy Parnell handled my pregancy until i miscarried. Throughout, the experience she was quite supportive and caring. Unfortunately, there wasn't much that one could do in my case.I needed a couple of emergency appointments and i got them easily. I also needed to call the emergency line and the doctor on duty helped me out both times. That was definitely needed.The wait time on a busy day is around 15 minutes and i have gone in sometimes in just a minute. Dr Parnells assistant Erica is also very nice, polite and does her job well.Dr Wendy Parnell has excellent bed side manners and puts me at ease. Personally, i hate going to gynecologists or any doctor for that matter so for her to be able to calm me down matters a lot.Of the office staff, some of them are really nice whereas one lady did not seem to have the patience to answer questions about billing to my satisfaction. In general she did not go the extra length that others did.The elderly woman who conducts the sonogram could do… with using more empathy. She was the one who conducted a sonogram to see if all was well and unfortunately there was no heart beat and she had absolutely no empathy. Dr Parnell on the other knows to connect with her patients and she took a sonogram once.I would definitely recommend her and i plan to go to her again if i get pregnant.
