William Thurman Bates IIi, DO

Great listener, very thorough, kind, polite, and smart! We decided to have all of our family members with him after our first visit.

I had an extremely rude and demeaning experience with him. From the very beginning, he made me feel like he didn’t want to care for me. I patiently tried explaining my medical situation and he kept cutting me off as I was stupid. Who would ever trust a doctor to be genuinely interested in your wellbeing when you’re treated like that? A professional doctor would have the courtesy to be patient and hear his clients’ needs. I am very disappointed and do not recommend seeing him again.

A very knowledgeable and professional doctor. I like Osteopaths as they are trained more holistically and to my point of view work out very well in primary care.

I like Dr, Bates. He is a very good doctor. Test's ppl a little to much, but at least he tries to find out what is wrong with you the first time instead of 90 dr visits. He has treated my family with Respect and me as well. I will continue to be his patient. Your the BOMB Dr, bates!! And so is Shannon!! Keep up the good work :)

I have been a patient since Aug. '08. I had a few issues I was really worried about when I visited Dr. Bates the last time in Nov. and he was very thorough and spent several minutes answering my questions. Even though he suspected my problem from the beginning, he scheduled tests for me and was determined to find the cause of my problems. I call him a champion for going the extra mile for me and my family. Thanks to Dr. Bates..I am doing much better!

I was a patient of Dr Bates for approx. 1 year. He did not seem to listen to me during my visits, and even prescribed a sleep medicine after I had told him I had no trouble sleeping. He did not review my medical history before my first visit. He did not check my chart before subsequent visits to ascertain why I was there. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with Dr Bates.
