Dr. William Michael Greene, MD

Recently referred to Mike Greene in Greenville, SC. Office called to schedule appointment. During the telephone conversation had what I considered basic questions regarding cash cost vs. insurance and how long the 1st consultation would last. The staff seemed extremely frustrated with my questions and ended up telling me they could help and told me to go back to my referring Dr.

I have seen him twice and both times he was rude, impatient, and had no compassion at all. I will never see him again nor recommend him to anyone. I have seen other ENTs in the past and they listened and tried their best to help you in whatever ways that could. Not him!

With all due respect, I honestly have to say that Dr. Greene and the way he treats his patience is very straight forward and practical. I have had multiple visits and consolations with Dr. Greene, and if you want a MD that is going to tell you what you want to hear or what you want to do, then I highly suggest you find another MD. I recently had a tympanoplasty surgery done (my first surgery ever) by Dr Greene, which I was a little skeptical at first, but in the long run he saved my hearing and also the potential diagnosis of meningitis. Dr. Greene has also placed ear tubes and the removal of the adenoids removed for both of kids, who no longer have chronic sinus issues. His surgical practices are very delicate and makes sure that you are comfortable making your own decision, cared for and only provides the actual facts as to what procedures need to be done. I would highly recommend Dr. Greene for infants, toddlers and adults care.

After experiencing a posterior nose bleed on a Friday night and having nasal packing placed in the closest ER, I called 2 ENT practices Monday morning for a follow up appointment. Despite being a health care professional and fully insured, both practices would not see me for ludicrous reasons. Dr Green's office graciously worked me in Monday afternoon, removed the nasal packing and did a thorough exam. I would recommend this practice highly to anyone seeking competent, compassionate care.

I do not enjoy being negative but I went to see Dr. Greene and I thought he was a bit condescending. He acted like my issues were invalid because they were not large enough to warrant surgery. He handed me a piece of paper with a list of things I could do like saline spray, musinex, etc and I found it insulting since I could have goggled that instead of spending over $200.00 to see a specialist. I have been dealing with sinus infections every 2 months for over a year, and my throat has been swollen nonstop for 10 months. I realize i'm still functioning and I don't need my tonsils removed - but to have this agitation for this long and then have a specialist tell you to do everything you have been trying for the last 10 months was just overwhelmingly disappointing. Perhaps part of the issues was I felt like he was my last hope and he let me down. That would be my issue. I was just very frustrated leaving the office feeling like I wasn't properly heard and the "medical" advice i spent… time away from work and money on was something I already knew and could have found on webmd. I was a bit shocked at how downtrodden the staff was. They all seemed a bit depressed and it made me kind of sad. It makes me wonder what kind of environment I walked into in the first place.

Dr. Greene is excellent! Takes his time and explains everything to you. He even consults with other doctors if needed I highly recommend him You will not be disappointed!
