Dr. William F Harman, PhD

I had the same experience as the reviewer who described Dr. Harman as smug and arrogant. Despite my reservations about him, I was in a bad place and I started to open up to him. His reaction? To actually yell at me and belittle me. Can you imagine? That was the last time I ever saw him. Unfortunately, it turned me off to therapy for some time, even though I needed it. That set me back years, and caused me a lot of emotional suffering that could have been avoided if he had just been a normal, caring person. Please do yourself a favor and seek care somewhere else.

A typical Washingtonian in his arrogance. Very uncompassionate. Even disdainful of a persons need for understanding. He's got an Ivy League degree and a Connecticut Avenue office. He has 'important' patients. Very smug, dismissive and unintuitive. He comes from a detestable elitist culture and it shows in the way he mistreats his patients. As a survivor I thought I was getting treatment to empower me. Instead I was feeding the supply of a Narcissistic bully. Don't see this person if you care about yourself.
