Dr. Lavigna is a native Clevelander who attended Miami University prior to receiving his Dental Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University. Before joining his father Daniel in practice, Dr. Lavigna completed an advanced training residency in General Dentistry at Saint Luke's Hospital in Cleveland. He then continued on at Saint Luke's as an Attending Teacher and in 1984 became the Director of Dentistry at the Hospital. In private practice since 1986, Dr Lavigna has developed a preventive practice focused on providing all restorative care to maintain optimal oral health for his patients. He emphasizes the individual needs of his patients' health and provides care in all phases of restorative dentistry including Implant Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Fixed and Removable Bridgework, Root Canal Therapy and conservative Periodontal Care consistent …with each patient's personal situation. He coordinates patient care with other dental specialists as indicated. Dr. Lavigna also serves as Director of Dentistry at St. Vincent Charity Hospital and Saint Luke's Medical Center in Cleveland and directs the advanced teaching program there. Dr Lavigna is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentists as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Special Care Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association and the Cleveland Dental Society.
