Dr. William Reid Litchfield, MD

In my opinion Desert Endocrinology is the best, They go above and beyond to help you and Dr. Litchfield takes great care to explain everything and make you feel comfortable. The last few years have been difficult but they have always been there for me, came through every time.

Dr. W. Reid Litchfield when I had this as my doctor back in 2014 I was happy to go there. Then I got pushed to Violet who said she was going to send over about five different meds and she never did. I go back and see Dallas and he was fine did the basics. Go to make an appointment as I missed mine and was on hold for 28 minutes to an attitude from the person making the appointments. Then my time has finally come to see Dallas and well I couldn't pay as I was waiting for my check to hit my account. Got to wait 40 minutes and ask so am I not able to see the doctor if I can't pay my copay? Receptionist umm well another nurse or whoever with the horribly drawn in eyebrows says "as long as you pay before you leave". So my money is more important than someone getting cared for?!?!? My insurance provides me free doctors that I can go and see I chose to pay to see Litchfield and I get treated this way over $40!!! Tell me that you only care about money without telling me you only care about… money. I get a call after I leave and get the receptionist who sighs on the phone when she was the problem. Oh and I hope you are reading this when you called me the money was in my account. Sorry to of bothered you for going to your office. How dare me! Doctor Litchfield is a great doctor the rest of the office isn’t even close to as nice or respectful and him.

Every visit is great, Dr. Litchfield informs you about your condition, he isn't just a health care provider, he's a partner with you. A person needing an Endocrinologist specialist has the best when they come to Desert Endocrinology. None better in Las Vegas and Henderson.

Dr. Litchfield (and especially Dr. Flohr) are great and very knowledgeable. Their office staff and office manager on the other hand, the worse I've experienced! They seem like robots who don't care about your health. They give attitude, takes for ever to get a hold of anyone, and are very rude. I think they are on a mission to reduce their number of patients. I'll be looking elsewhere, maybe even outside of Las Vegas area, for a specialist and office that actually care.

A gifted and brilliant Endocrinologist. As well, he has a wonderful way in making patients feel at ease. He talks to you, not at you and listens to your concerns. He's confident not arrogant and though his diagnosis are spot on, he backs them up with appropriate tests. Also he does his own scans instead of sending you elsewhere. Everyone works in unison to give you a great experience, Corey and Violet are very sweet, they do everything they can for you. I do recommend him, all of the time, without hesitation. It's a busy practice but worth it should you have to wait a bit for an appointment.

Dr. Litchfield and his staff were awesome: caring, efficient, knowledgable - I couldn't have asked for a better experience in a difficult time.

That's what DR. LITCHFIELD does best, saves the lives of his patients. IF I hadn't been lucky enough to find him through a neighbor, I know I would have died. I was more dead than alive when I walked into his office. He correctly diagnosed my Thyroid condition, got me on the right medications, does my yearly sonograms himself and keeps me thriving. DR. LITCHFIELD rescued me and gave me 12 years of healthy life. Other Doctors and specialists didn't come close or weren't interested. With him, you will get an intelligent, knowledgeable and compassionate Endocrinologist who is generous with his time. The staff runs a busy practice efficiently and they are friendly and helpful.

This is the only place ratings are high. I went in with chronic hyperthyroid symptoms that my primary tried to treat by changing my meds. It didn't work so he sent me to this specialist for answers. I only saw the dr the first time. He said I was overmedicated. That wasn't true, my primary had lowered my meds many times to no avail. Then I was passed to the nurse who suggested I have anxiety issues and for 6 months, kept changing my meds while I got worse. Had it not been for the pandemic, I might have collapsed from the fatigue which caused me to get in a wreck. Finally saw Dr again and he told me it was my colon. The gastroenterologist shook his head and said there's no way, it's my thyroid condition. Saw my ophthalmologist and she said it was hyperthyroidism and my eyes are damaged from it. I then saw the PA for follow up and she said it was impossible for me to have this. I've been ill for years and at this practice I got worse while this detached staff in either ignorance or… indifference let me suffer.

Walk in and receive a friendly greeting, the staff is coordinated and you don't wait long to see DR. LITCHFIELD. This is a Doctor that doesn't come into the room, sit down and read the chart. He engages you in conversation, you get his undivided attention. DR. LITCHFIELD is a progressive Endocrinologist, up to date in his field, his knowledge is second to none. I feel genuinely comfortable with the care I receive and recommend him to anyone needing a highly skilled Endocrinologist.

Worst staff ever. Denise should be fired. Talked over me. Nurses unhappy. I had enough after five years. Saw the doc every fourth or fifth visit. That's what, once every 18 months? Saw an PA the rest of the time. He's a likeable guy but in the end, I didn't feel cared for. I can't express how rude his staff is. They kept messing up my prescriptions, not available after Thursday and over the weekend, very unfriendly if you have a problem and overcharge. As you pass this doctor up, RUN, don't walk!
