Dr. William Scott Livesay, MD

I am very pleased with Dr. Livesay as my new physician. I just moved to Waco and found him and his staff friendly and well trained in what they do.

Seen Dr Livesay for 27 years and will never change. I hate to see the day when he retires. He has been extremely helpful in my health. Dr Livesay has helped me when other doctors that I seen didn't. I recommend him to every lady of any age.

Doesn't want to accept insurance so he makes you pay out of pocket for labs. Too expensive to see on any sort of regular basis.

This doctor's office will charge you for labs that your insurance will cover. They charged me a ton a money for labs that I "really needed" to have done but then told me that my insurance wouldn't cover it. Then AFTER the labs were done, they told me, "well you could have had these labs done at the hospital, we just don't file them on your insurance here in the office". My insurance company was furious and said this is againts the law and he cannot do that. They refunded me all of the money that I was forced to pay out of pocket. Secondly, the wait time is absolutely insane. I would be the only person in the waiting room, and would still wait for over an hour. The last time I was here, I scheduled my appointment for the first appoitment of the day 8:00AM, at 8:45AM I ask the nurse what the hold up is, and she proceeds to tell me that the doctor ususally don't even come in until after 8:30. Are you kidding me? Finally 20 minutes later he strolls in and takes his time in his office and… finally makes his way into the exam room. Then spends approximately 4 minutes on the office visit. I am no longer a patient here and would never recommend this place to a friend.
