Dr. William Yuanhai Lu, MD

I was a patient of Dr. William Lu and can say first hand he is a dangerous man. This man performed spinal surgery on me and 150+ patients, none of us were aware the spinal surgery he was performing on us would be experimental. Dr. Lu invented this new surgery along with the hardware he placed in and around my spine. The surgery was a failure. My pain level significantly increased and my quality of life has decreased due to limited mobility and pain from Dr. Lu’s surgery. Since all the surgeons in Florida are aware of what Dr. Lu did to his patients, I can’t find a surgeon willing to try to correct Dr. Lu’s mistakes. Dr. William Lu is only practicing in Colorado now because Florida won’t let him practice here. He lost a huge medical malpractice class action suit brought by his Orlando patients. Beware! Dr. Lu will not have the patients best interest in mind, only making money and finding more Guinea pigs to work on.

Dr William Lu is an outstanding Neurosurgeon and i would recommend him over any other doctor in this field anywhere. My neck was in such a mess and i was in so much pain 24 hrs a day till it was unreal. He tried every medication available and all injections and nothing worked, a couple of years and two surgeries later, so he decided to try a procedure that was not yet approved by the FDA and that i had to sign a wavoir leaving him not responsible if it did not work. He is a christian man of GOD and by his faith in GOD and his knowledge of what he was doing, this procedure worked and this was in Oct of 2013 in Orlando, Florida. No problems at all. Do your research. he had to leave fl, due to multiple procedures done without FDA approval and had to leave his practice of 15 years ,I'm a mess now due to this idiot, how can he still be practicing, can't say much due to settlement, but beware

The minute I started talking with Dr.Lu I knew that I've gotten a good Dr. Not not only is he a pleasant Dr, he really knows what he talking about.. I would prefer all of my friends to him.

I had an issue with a bulging disk which caused severe pain and paralysis on my left side. Dr. Lu tried everything possible to avoid the surgery. But it turned out that surgery was the best option and permanent solution. I never had a doctor take so much time and care to search for an alternative treatment other than surgery. I am more active today than I was before the issue thanks to Dr Lu. He is one of the best of the best in my book. I have recommended him to friends and family, which they received similar results. I have been a patient of Dr. Lu's since 2002 when I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor which Dr. Lu removed surgically. Later the tumor grew back and Dr. Lu performed Gamma Knife surgery which stopped the growth. I would not hesitate to travel from Florida to Colorado should I ever need Dr. Lu again.

I was 42 years old and suffered a stoke incident. It was discovered I had issues with my neck in which bone was pressing on an artery. The main one no less. Dr Lu performed surgery and saved my life! This was in 2005. He is tops and truly cares about his patients. If you see any negative reviews it has to be because he could not help them.

Worst doctor I've ever heard of or dealt with. My wife's neck and back are in really bad condition and he told her it's basically in your head. I wish I could take her to the university of Utah to see Dr. Matsuo, he did the best consult to a great neurosurgeon for me I only had to stay at the hospital for maybe a week after BRAIN SURGERY, this doctor is totally unprofessional and he won't last long at parkview Medical Center. My wife said she would not let him touch a dead fly which about the pace of his bedside manner also.

Dr. Lu is an exceptional Dr. Explained everything to me He reviewed my case and found another issue. Dr. Lu was just to replace the battery in my stimulator. After reviewing my case he found that i needed a Left S1 radiculopathy and then rescheduled my surgery a week later. I speak highly of this physician.
