Dr. William Kelly Mccarty, DO

Not impressed with listening skills. No dialogue, to much monologue.

I feel this doctor abuses insurance and performs unnecessary medical procedures. He's a salesman. He acts very polite, very confident and experienced. His responses and diagnosis sound factually sounded... But they're not. I've seen him 5 times. He lead me to believe my sinuses were in a dire state. He prescribed a very powerful antibiotic on two visits when I had no infection. Ordered a cat scan and scoped my sinuses when i came in seeking a prescription for allergy medicine. Each visit, he pushed me to get sinus surgery. I came to him because of the glowing reviews but had to seek a second opinion after he ordered the cat scan. It seemed suspicious even to me.

DR McCarty is a matter of fact doctor.He listens first and then exams. He explains the problem then is very straight forward in how he feels he can help. The staff are very friendly.

The doctor correctly diagnosed me with an inner ear infection, but doesn't like to use antibiotics. Knowing I had Fibromyalgia (and a compromised immune system)he should have known I needed more agressive treatment than a normal patient. Getting only allergy medicine, my eardrum ended up exploding and I now have a permanent 35%-40% hearing loss.
