Dr. William George Mishler, MD

Broke my knuckle when I was 13 years old, went to Mishler and he said something to the effect of “it’ll be fine we’ll just cast it” got my cast off and couldn’t move my finger. Surgery was performed by him to “remove scar tissue”. Didn’t help a bit. 15 years later and I still can’t move my finger. Broke my arm at age 15 and went to Mishler, once again “it’ll be fine we’ll just cast it”. After getting the cast off my wrist was in the wrong place and looked to be clearly at an angle. When telling him it looked deformed, he insisted it was fine. After persistent questioning he started yelling and threw his pen and screamed “HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MY JUDGMENT IM A PROFESSIONAL” So we went to a doctor in Carson who measured the angle of my arm, which was 16° off. He informed me that I had a “dinner fork deformity” due to negligence by Mishler, and that my arm must be re-broken and re-cast. The acceptable angle of the bone was supposed to be no more that 7° off, and it was over twice… that. It took 3 surgeries and a plate with 12 screws to finally get my arm back into the correct alignment, which all could have been avoided if Mishler wasn’t a terrible doctor. I’m sitting here now with a lame index finger, and wondering whether I’d be able to bend it if I hadn’t had the misfortune of seeing Dr Mishler...

I found my experience with Dr. Mishler to be very good. He is blunt and straight to the point which I like. However, he did spend as much time as needed to handle my consultation answering each question in simple easy to understand language.

Dr Mischler did a total knee replacement and within 1 day I was up walking with little of no pain at all. Next is the left knee and I should be good to go. Great man

Dr. Mishler provided excellent care and service during my pre and post surgery of my knee. He has a small office so I got in to see him right away and no long waits.

had a serious infection after a surgery, and it seemed as if he did not care, and i had to go to the emergency room to get treatment and the hospital schedule emergency treatment which he did. I almost lost my leg due to the infection. I felt the follow up could have been done a little bit more professionally. Perhaps it was because i only had medicaid, or perhaps it is because he just is an abrut person with good skills and that I was an exception to his track record. But I was very dissatisfied.
